    Can anyone PM me a link to pics of Ed's wave? Things where he has actually drawn it or something? I'm interested in getting that as a tatt but want to see originals if you get what I mean(asking for PM as it's hard to keep track of these threads). TIA.

    My newest one will be honoring Jerry of the GD, RIP, and Eddie and PJ of course.

    My first true love in music was Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Followed them anywhere.

    Then when I first heard Ed in TOTD, and then in PJ, it was sorta the same feeling. OF course Ed's lyrics mean a lot more to me, but the same old sort of "Jerry" feeling was there. Although Jerry will always be my first love, my love and appreciation for what Ed does for us runs deeper into my soul than anything ever has.

    Anyway, when Jerry passed, it was a difficult time, but Ed's voice and words brought me back. Needless to tell any of you, Ed's words have brought me through so many things. I know I got kicked to the curb last time I said this, but sometimes it feels as if Ed is right inside your head, writing down your thoughts and feelings in a way that you never could express.

    Anyway.....

    My new tat, which I still have to sketch, will be Jerry's face, facing left or "back" and under that (and a bit to the right) Ed's face looking right out forward or to the right, to the future.

    Separating, well not really separating I suppose but sort of running through the two, will be a sort of half a figure 8 wrapping around the back of Jerry and Ed's heads which will be facing in opposite directions. That will incorporate a lyric....and I am trying to find a lyric that fits both, so far the only thing that suits me is from Given to Fly....

    Sometimes you see a strange light in the sky...a human being ...given to fly....

    but I don't think that's good enough.

    I'm going to have to search thru my GD/Jerry and PJ/Ed lyrics to see if I can find something similar and more meaningful that's common to both.

    The feeling is there, the design hasn't fulfilled the feeling yet.

    I think getting a Stickman is awesome! For my 18th birthday in October, I'm getting a Stickman tattoo, which will be my first. (Under it it will say the word 'chai' in Hebrew, which means life. A little personal touch instead of adding the 'Alive' that is sometimes on the bottom)

    Also, if the tattoo means something to you- and obviously the Stickman represents something that is close to all of us and is very important in our lives- go for it!

    I'm going to be getting either the backspacer drummer spacemen or, if i decide to go cheaper and simpler, just the backspacer key with either PJ or the entire band name in it. Not sure yet and never had a tattoo... I'm 36 and it's midlife crisis time though so.... :mrgreen:

    Just got mine done this weekend. It still needs a little bit of outline work.
    This is from the 2009 Christchurch poster. I always wanted a PJ tat and when I saw this design I knew that was gonna be it. Done by Character's Tattoo in Eastlake, CA.
