I really want to get the "surf board" tattoo. I have seen all the ones people have posted here, and they all look good, but I want mine to be more subtle. What I mean is, the first time I saw the "surf board" picture on the Xmas single, I had no idea it said "Pearl Jam" inside the surf board. I just thought it looked like a cool design.
Thats what I want in my tattoo. I dont want people to immediately see that it says Pearl Jam. I dont know how to go about designing the tattoo so that it looks like the first time I saw it.

Just a quick question if anyone knows. How long do you have to wait until you get a tattoo over a scar?

Only 3 weeks - I'm planning ahead.
i'm not an expert but id say if it's still kinda raw and red i'd wait. not sure what kind of scar you are talking about but i'd definitely wait until it is fully healed before i messed around with it. i know from my 2 scars that as time went on the one on my arm faded and smoothed out and also got significantly smaller and the other on my knee is barely noticeable but again only time will tell...

At first I wanted the words Given To Fly in Ed's handwriting because it fits to my feather but Black is just so great and one of my favorite songs of all time and so I got the five horizons. Unfortunately not in his handwriting, but I added the "-.." from the Given To Fly scan to it.
