I have no Tatts.
My bloke has no Tatts.
My friends have TWO shitfull Tatts between them.
My Brother-in-law IS a Tattooist, I've known him for 24 years, and HE Tattoos everyone he meets.
Recently, his fiance complained that he Tattoo'd the same ORIGINAL DESIGN he drew for her.... on her sisters' leg!! and now HER Mum is getting the same Tattoo aswell......kinda nice if you have a close knit family......
Ok, back to the story....I'm 40, and thinking I'd like to piss my bloke off and get a Tatt. I'm thinking STICKMAN!.... ( I know :roll: that is really original and will look like smudged grease in a couple of years. )
But I also need to incorporate the words, " You will get over it." as that is my partners favorite saying to me every time he fucks up. I'm thinking if I marry the two in a Tatt.....that's gunna really piss him off!
Ohhhh....DOH!.....now I get the whole " Why men cheat " Thread.
PERFECT Answer. I'm getting a stickman because it represents Pearl Jam. I will get the words..." You'll get over it. " near my Tatt reminding me that I DON'T have to get over it.
But still, where should I get it??? please don't suggest Boobs or Arse.
Without sounding completely cheesy I'm not sure that trying to piss off your husband is the best reasoning for putting something on your body that will last forever. This wont be something you can wash off after the initial shock is gone. I'm sure you know this already and have thought this through. Having said that, I think tattoos are great and if it's something you want I think you need to think of something that is meaningful to YOU. forget what anyone else will say. They aren't the one who will have to stare at it day after day. That's just my opinion.
That portrait tattoo is really awful. If you get a tattoo like that at least make sure it looks good.
Cheers javanderdam, i got that portrait tatt done 16yrs ago when i was 18 by a mate who did tatts from home. That was his first ever portrait and i love it.

I already have the lyrics to Black on my right arm....last night i got a new one on my left arm....its anton corbijn's "into the wild" pic of Ed and I've placed "dream the dreams of other men, you will be no-ones rival" from unthought known below it....the pic isn't great....the tattoo is solid black but its only a day old so its not healed yet...ill post a better pic when its healed....

last week i got "viva la vinyl" on my foot in the same scatchy lettering as on the vitalogy booklet. next week there's a tattoo convention in philly and i wanna finish up with a record player with a pj record playing. can't wait!!

After this tour season, and after my finances stabilize a little, I'm going to get my first PJ tat, a rear view mirror of a car, with some bullets, a stun-gun and a bottle of B&B inside of the mirror. Hanging off the mirror are three hawk feathers, each from a different kind of hawk, all three connected with an opal bead, and the words "saw things so much clearer once you were in my rear view mirror"
she holds the hand that holds her down, she will rise above!
first pj tat...got this, oh, 8-9 years ago? for being so small it's held up relatively well :P ed's waves from the 1/2 full liner notes. shitty camera phone pic, the first wave is on the front of my ankle, can't really get a good pic of all 4 waves in sequence
