Yep.  And it could mean nothing, maybe he just said it as a generalization, but he specifically says "the states" and nothing about NA/Canada.  I'm still thinking those end up being rescheduled for Oct/Nov.

I still don't think we get an announcement until after Ed's tour wraps up.

We've heard for years about how they do everything in house and make all the decisions themselves, but the front man doesn't even know if shows have been announced.

Most of these podcasts are recorded weeks before airing and this episode is scheduled to air for free 2/14. So maybe the announcement is about a week away.

Sounds like Europe is full steam ahead and does not surprise me at all with Eddie not knowing if the dates have been announced or not. This tells me COVID is not the primary reason for the wait and it is more marketing at this time.

The Who just plotted out a tour.... Oct 2nd in Toronto....
  • I think Eddie stating that he doesn’t know if the NA shows have been announced yet is a good sign they’re coming soon. He probably didn’t know when that podcast was airing, so it’s smart to just play dumb for the time being.

I think this is right, especially if they haven’t yet made a decision about when exactly the tour will be announced, but are waiting and monitoring the pandemic situation before determining when they should announce.

Maybe not, but I wouldn't read into Ed's comment about the states.  Ed may not even know off hand all of the locations on the tour.

Yes it sounds like they are trying to honor ticket holders in some way! Let the new venue speculation continue!

Frankly, as a ticket holder I am a little disappointed by “we hope we can figure out some way to make this right.” Was hoping for something a little more solid.

I take this as a sign that an announcement of the rescheduled dates is not imminent. They had waited this long, they could have waited a few more days if the announcement was close.

They should just give Baltimore ticket holders a presale code to which they can select tickets to any show with availability. 48-72 hours to pick, one time code, which happens before the public re-onsale.

I like this, but what about GA. Assuming that’s all filled up.

I see the opposite. Imagine announcing dates and leaving Baltimore out. To me this means we are getting the dates any time now.

If an announcement was coming they could have included the cancellation in that announcement. A lot of bands that rescheduled their tours did that for shows that couldn't be rescheduled for one reason or another.

Yeah, I am going to miss those GA tickets I held onto for two years.

This makes sense to me.  They're leading with the bad news and in a few days they'll drop the rest of the dates.  I'm sure they don't want the downer of announcing a cancellation at the same time as promoting a big announcement.  Feels like they're getting it out of the way because they're ready to move forward.  Sucks for people with the Baltimore tickets.  Hopefully there is some perk down the road to take care of those folks like the announcement alluded to.

Me too. I am glad they finally came out with it, but still disappointing (although we knew it was coming).
