Portland is a great place to see a show. The National was the last for me there a few yrs back. Thompson's Point would be an amazing outdoor venue, but too small by their standards now...
8K max is it not? Would be a crazy stop if they do it.

whatever the old cumberland county civic center is called now in Portland, would be great..  small, probably 8-10k capacity, but that's the arena tour size i'd love to see

I saw a show there last year and was disappointed.  Lines were ridiculous for everything.

I love the goofy New England rumors but we probably have a better chance of seeing Bigfoot than we do Pearl Jam playing Portland.
Confirmed!!  Bigfoot will be at the Portland show!

I used to dream about them playing Fenway and it eventually came true. Been there, done that 4x now.

But Portland, ME? My backyard?!? Be still my heart!!

I'm not enough of an audiophile to know how the CIA sounds for shows. Last time I was there was for a Black Keys show in 2012, before the newest renovations. Haven't been there for a show since. But Jack White is playing there this summer.

I think I've heard/read that people don't like it very much for sound. But Thompson's Point is probably too small for PJ. But I've really enjoyed the Wilco and MMJ shows I saw there.  Would be a dream

I'll give them a pass with the pandemic. The lines have been ridiculous everywhere - from Starbucks to the Urgent Care with people getting sick and labor shortages. Been there several times prior to 2020 - had great experiences for the most pt.

Not positive, but that definitely feels right...
Yeah - would be a beautiful thing if they hit the Boston area then somewhere like that. I mean, I never thought in a million years I'd see them in my birthplace of Worcester....

portland doesnt have a very large outdoor or indoor venue, but it'd be super cool.   now if they did a festival type of thing at the old AF base that Phish played at generations ago in Limestone, that would be awesome
    I would go apeshit.

If they actually played there, no reason they couldn't play in Manchester, NH. The acoustics are terrible in the arena, but we do have a similarly-sized ball park.

I wonder if the upcoming announcement might include the Fall leg info as well.  If the Maine teaser is true, I would guess it's in the Fall.  But then again everything is up in the air at this point.
I think it will. I think it will be shows in May and Fall tour and possibly Baseball stadium shows if those are happening

It is looking like Canada is starting to get some arena shows booked again with some tours being announced. Lets get those dates!

Is the long-awaited, some say mythical, New England tour about to happen?
Before the postponement happened in 2020 due to Covid. There was a bunch of rumors flying around about New England dates in fall of 2020z I definitely think it’s possible

Greta Van Fleet just announced a huge tour in the fall with Canada dates.

Gotta think the announcement is next week, tues or wed, so they can talk about it in the newsletter on the 10th, and so everyone in Canada will miss out on the cheap airfare deals that are on right now.

Probably already been discussed, but could the possible delay of the MLB season have something to do with delay in the tour announcement?  If season is delayed it could affect teams schedule which in turn could affect the dates that PJ could possibly have booked at stadiums.  Or maybe I'm just mad at the MLB owners and looking to blame the lack of tour announcement on them.

I think the dates for concerts are baked in - a bunch of bands have already made announcements. If games have to be moved around, it'll be around the shows.

Yup, exactly. Venues and promoters won’t wait for a deal that may not happen for a while.
