Hopefully we get the full year slate and the northeast gets some love.

Me to, but then, a part of me hopes that they only announce May. And, even then, just the rescheduled dates with a hint about new dates sprinkled in. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, but also, the tour speculation is a nice distraction from everything else.

So, say they do announce a tour... As for the make up dates, do we think the majority of the shows are already sold out? If they add new dates I presume there will be a lottery like usual...

There will be some tickets available for the rescheduled shows. I'm assuming quite a few refunds would have been requested.

I would expect a lottery for the new shows

I’ll be happily shocked if they announce all the year’s dates.

All of this has been a stark reminder that it’s a business, it’s a business, it’s a business. Gotta think they’ll announce the fall after the spring tour. Like I said I’ll be happily shocked if that’s not the case though

I can see arguments for both sides of this. I think it's possible they announce everything all at once, for a couple of reasons. If the rescheduled dates are really going to be split between May and the fall, then it makes sense for them to announce all of those at once. If there are going to be new dates sprinkled in the May shows, then why not announce all of the new dates at once? I know a bunch of people returned their 2020 tickets, but I have to imagine more held on to them, so those shows are probably already well-sold, and new dates aren't going to affect them as much as some are claiming.

All of that said, I get it - any effect is an effect. So, if you can convince people the only shows available to them are 10+ hours away, they'll buy tickets. Then, when you later announce more shows within a couple of hours, it feels like a bonus.

For us, yes to a bonus - but I think the casual fan would only see them once on a tour.

I really have no idea what to expect. Complete opposite situation from two years ago when we knew just about all the cities and dates.

I never said I agreed with the delayed announcement tactic, or that I think it's necessary (personally, I think the shows will sell well either way), just that I can see where the idea comes from.

Ha somehow did not consider that they could just announce May shows (including say half of the 2020 shows) and leave the other half of the 2020 shows pending in the rumor mill for 4-5 more months or so.

That would be fun times. Hopefully we get a full slate whenever the announcement is.
