Thanks for the update. Lolla is so much earlier than everything else though I wonder if that matters for them. Also curious if they play ACL do they announce before the other shows to get a jump on sales for the fest or do they announce everything together if they are in fact playing 10 plus shows this fall. I know we live in different times right now and this fall is not a normal roll out but 2014 ACL enjoyed a 1 month lead on the rest of the tour as far as announcements are concerned.

Bummed I'll never get to try out the pods.
Unless my kids really get into the Sox, I will probably let my season tickets go after this summer -- just upgraded my seats before Covid-19 shut things down, too.
But I haven't been able to watch nine innings of baseball since I got the tickets in 2015. Always a fucking train to catch, sitter to relieve/wait for/etc. Hassle.

Just sat in an all-vaccinated/no socially-distanced section of Wrigley bleachers (Chicago ballparks just bumped up to 65% capacity). Strange to be in a crowd again, but all in all wasn’t as anxious as I thought I’d be.
Lollapalooza lineup being announced tomorrow morning - any chance PJ plays?

Lolla headliners are leaning towards Foos & Journey for rock acts... doubt there's room for PJ. Unless the postponed Wrigley shows make room for a PJ concert, I doubt we'll see them in Chicago this summer (Pitchfork and Riot Fest already announced their lineups).
I gotta believe they’ll add 10-12 more shows around the two festivals.
They haven’t played in years plus they have a new album they want to finally play to us.
I think they’re chomping at the bit to get back on the road.
There is also the financial thing. Obviously the band dudes are probably fine. Wow though the positive impact on crew/merch/ticket sales/venue personnel and people that rely on this kind of work would be through the roof. This band seems to care way more about those individuals and there families more than other bands perhaps.
Ahh didn't see that, good pick up. Foos will be cool though.

If they really cared more than other bands, they’d hit the road a lot more. However, they do maximize every dollar out of every show. I assume this revenue trickles down to the crew.

I feel like I remember reading an interview with crew members (maybe in DEEP from a few years ago?) where they talked about how part of the value PJ offers to their crew is predictability and visibility. The crew members have plenty of opportunities to work with other bands when PJ isn’t touring.
I happened to hear on the Jim and Sam show on SiriusXM one of there producers mentioned he was talking to a higher up from Sirius and he told him that Pj was playing rescheduled show at Apollo. So hopefully that means soon

Apollo before or after SHN makes a lot of sense. Small crowd, shake off some rust, play new songs, broadcast on XM to draw attention to the festival shows. Hopefully that means more shows
