ooh @JeBurkhardt I love that idea especially being a so cal native...would be great to see them do that down here.  Makes me think Ventura Highway but hard to imagine them doing any America covers. Not their vibe at all.  Maybe Eddie could pull off a horse with no name in his solo set LOL

I would like to hear either of those. The Ventura Highway on the beach at Ohana would be epic.

"No Easy Way Out" - Robert Tepper, from the Rocky IV Soundtrack

    BUT

It can only be done in Philly.

Mike can replicate the synthesizers in the beginning kind of like he plays Baba. Or maybe Boom can do something.

    There's no shortcut hooooooooooooooome!

I just heard a song I haven’t heard in 20 plus years and my first thought was that would sound great if Pearl Jam played it..
“Ordinary World” by Duran Duran.  This wasn’t a popular opinion in my house by the way. But I love that song!

That is a great song! Duran Duran cover would be different in a good way.

I would love to hear them play "For What It's Worth". I am not sure if they ever covered this one, but I think they would do a great job with it.

I don't think a SG would work. Chris and Ed's voices are just too different.

Missing was a great cover that came out of nowhere. Just like The Hip covers if they pick the right one they can nail it I think.

I love that cover too...used to listen to that one regularly.  I think it was on the Chapters double CD I have.  I'll have to pull that out and remind myself what else was on that.

I'm thinking a Radiohead cover would be cool. Anyone know if they've done one.  I'd go with one of Stone's favorites by them, "A Punch Up at a Wedding".

Of course any cover they do is usually great, but I would prefer they just stick with their own catalog of songs.  I have been to a few shows where you get 3/4 covers and personally I just want to hear their songs.  It is not the start of their career, so the reality is we only have, if we are lucky, a few tours left to see them play at a high level.  I'm not being disrespectful to the band, just realistic - things happen.  If given the choice of a few covers over a choice of a few seldom played original songs, it is a no brainer for me that I would take a song like Tremor Christ over a great cover of Masters of War all day long.  This is probably just me being selfish and greedy at this point.  I get the band likes to play these songs for their own reasons and also pay homage to their favorite bands and musical interest as well.  At this point, come to Sea Hear and Now and play entire set of Bruce tunes and Crowded House covers and I could careless.  Just want to see them on stage again.

Getting close now...we shall see what they do.  I wonder where they've been rehearsing.  I'm feeling like they do a Pink Floyd song for some reason right now. Tom Petty maybe, and the Who is a given!

    yeah MASTERS OF WAR !

and please Mad Season cover would be great ! All these songs have to work again !

If you're going there then it is River of Deceit...no doubt!  I'd enjoy them doing a few of the other band's side projects, but they do Crown of Thorns cover. So that's cool.  I love some of Brad's songs and The Day Brings would be special for so many reasons...that was the song we danced to at our wedding for our first dance.  Maybe one day we'll get Stone and Eddie to do that for us LOL
I got to hear Crown of Thorns.... that was nuts

Love the Someday at Christmas cover...I don't know why I forgot it was Stevie Wonder and was thinking it was John Lennon.  Looks like it was Bryan Wells and Ron Miller that wrote it.  Beautiful song in every way from lyrics to melody...no wonder Pearl Jam covered it with a studio version you can find on Apple Music.  Jack Johnson has a great version too.  Enjoy them both if you haven't done so already, and if you have, well enjoy them again, ha!  Merry Christmas All!
