Might be in the minority but i'd get a kick out of them doing Barbie's "I'm Just Ken" just once.
Well that sounds downright awful lol but to each their own. I’m guessing you suggested that tongue in cheek given you are an SNL guy.

No way! PJ thrives on the covers. I say the more the merrier. I do hope for 2.5 to 3 hour sets but feel greedy saying it. If they are still banging out 2 plus hours per energy filled show while all pushing 60 years old then we will take it.

I love when they play cover songs. Especially new ones never hear before which I'm hoping they get to play this year.
I still just want to catch their version of Comfortably Numb

I really don't understand playing the same covers over and over. I mean, maybe for one tour, but then retire them. Cover songs are fun if they're markedly different from the original. Either way, I NEVER need to hear Baba done by anyone ever again. Sorry, for those who like hearing that one. I'd love to hear them do "You Better You Bet" if it must be a Who song.

I love the Who - so I don't mind Baba. But I would love to hear them play Naked Eye, Let's See Action, or I Am One.

The more, the merrier?! Surely, you don't mean that literally, or you'd be merriest with a set featuring nothing but covers.
Put me down for no covers. The band has a massive catalog that, despite their yeomanlike efforts, still has corners that get neglected. There are some special Pearl Jam covers-- e.g., "RITFW" and "Sonic Reducer"-- that Pearl Jam has, to an extent, made their own, but even those songs have been seen and done. Give me all originals. Give me every track from the new album in the set every night. That would make me merriest.

YES to Naked Eye. Not sure how many times I saw The Who, but they NEVER played Naked Eye.
Let's See Action and I Am One are good choices too.
I always thought Trick Of The Light would kick ass too(especially Jeff).

That would be great. I could also see them having fun with "Mary Ann with the Shaky Hands".

I’ve always wanted PJ to cover ‘Waters Deep’ by Brad. Now I want to add ‘Hey Now What’s The Problem?’ to the list. It would be great to see them pay tribute to Shaun.

I think they would absolutely hit this one out of the ballpark. Best Sabbath song IMO (listen to that funky riff) and we would get a Matt solo to boot. And guys, if you ever decide to do it, please do it in Philly. Thanks in advance.
Fool in the Rain - Led Zeppelin The Waiting - Tom Petty
I was fortunate enough to hear them do Fool in the Rain at the House of Blues in '05 with Robert Plant. It was amazing and I always thought they could try that again without Plant.
Also caught The Waiting with Tom Petty in Milwaukee in '06, so good. I also thought they could pull it off without Petty.
Been saying this for years as well. Stone on acoustic, Mike coming in with that electric lead…Hell yes. And of course the message of the song fits the band so well. I really hope they do this someday. Even just once.

Wouldn’t mind Eddie taking another run at Seasons.
That would be incredible! That song is my all time fav by Chris Cornell.

I think at least a few covers are essential for the live experience and part of what makes them so special. More often than not, they do others songs better than the originals. I think two or three per show is the right number.

Maybe they can give Bob Marley some LOVE this tour and cover Redemption Song...I love it when Eddie sings that one. They've done it a few times, and he performed it with Beyonce at Global Citizen back in like 2015. That one is worth looking for on YouTube if you never saw it. They've done Three Little Birds too...that would be fun!
All of a sudden I can't wait for May to get here...hoping I make both LA shows!!

I've always been a big fan of the covers they've done historically. With that in mind, if they're going to stick with the current arrangement of 21-24 songs then I'd prefer they didn't play any covers (outside of perhaps Crazy Mary, which is basically a Pearl Jam song at this point). But, alas, it's not about what I want . Happy the band is still playing shows!
