Me too. If I had to drop one song, it would be Retrograde.
That would be my vote too... I don't dislike it, but I like every other song more... even Superblood Wolf Moon has grown on me, and I couldn't stand it when I first heard it.

Same---I don't dislike it either, but it's the one I'd choose to leave off.

I friggin’ love retrograde, lol. I think that’s one thing to notice - there doesn’t seem to be much consensus on what’s weak on the album. Kinda highlights it’s a really good album.
I like Get it Back better than any song on Gigaton. I guess I am very much a Ten through Riot Act and Lost Dogs guy, a decent amount of self titled and few songs here or there since. There is not one song on Gigaton that totally grabs me from start to finish. I wish I did enjoy it, really and I listened to it a lot over the first 4 months it was out. Hope to be surprised to hear the songs live. Also, happy that so many fans rank it as high as they do!
Everyone enjoyed it for what it is. Listening to it last March it was like the band predicted Covid

Love the album-just so solid and the things I'd change are few and far between-enough so that I don't skip anything. I'm not a fan of the lyrical phrasing on 7OC, the direct mentions of Trump make me cringe a bit despite my inability to stand 45 (plus I don't mind Bu$hleaguer), BU is a bit meh to me and I can't tap into the intensity of RC even though I know it's there. But what's good is everyone's suggestions are different so no obvious universally regarded bad moments and it seems only a minority don't like it as much as they thought they would.
Stars are suns to other people.

I'm gonna be honest and say that this album has not taken for me yet. Yet. DOTC really raised my hopes for the album. It is so different from their other stuff and is well written and arranged. I was excited for this different sound and hoped that the rest of the album might follow suit. It was an anomaly and I'm still kinda pouting about it.

Not hating on the tracks, and as a full start-to-finish play I'm loving it... but if you quizzed me on the tracklist after Seven O'Clock and before Retrograde I'd get 0% correct.
Also, for some reason I've associated/registered the "Buhhhhhckle uuuuppppppp" as the catch phrase to the pandemic horror movie of the past year.
Buckle Up is in my top 5 on the album, partly because my 2 year old son won't listen to anything but the Beastie Boys and the first ten seconds of Buckle Up on repeat. He calls it the zoom zoom song and he rocks from one leg to the other over and over, with a little shimmy in between, then runs over to the turntable to reset the needle before Eddie starts singing. So the only thing I would change on Gigaton would be to add a Side D with the opening riff to Buckle Up repeated endlessly, it would make a 2 year old boy very happy, and we can all just rock from leg to leg humming zoom-zoom-zoom-zoom, zoom-zoom-zoom-zoom...
"Take The Long Way" is probably my least favorite song on the album. Don't hate it... I like Matt having a moment on the album, but I'm generally not a huge fan of his songs. I think "Take the Long Way" is better than "Get Right" (should've been left off Riot Act) and "Evacuation" (should've been left off Binaural), but it's still probably my least favorite Gigaton track.
You nailed it here...Matt is awesome but totally agree that song should not have made it over Can't Deny Me or Get It Back. Take the Long Way is an instant skip and hard to listen to. Evacuation is one of their worst songs ever and erks me almost as much as Bugs LOL

But on a positive note, I actually really like Gigaton. I still can't believe they haven't been able to perform these songs for us and hope it happens this year. We are supposed to see both LA shows and the SD one too...please please let it happen. Oh, and Ohana fest most importantly!!
