I would SO love to have this re-mastered and put out on high quality vinyl. I have a pristine re-issue (year unknown) on red vinyl. It's pretty, but the sound leaves much to be desired.

People still gripe about that, but the category was Hard Rock/Metal, and Crest of a Knave is simply a better overall vocal or instrumental performance than ...And Justice for All. There's even a lovely Dave Pegg playing bass in the mix. I know that Metallica kept on their most recently hired bassist for their record, he's even credited on the sleeve. Damned if I can hear him on that trash compactor of an album, though.
