I keep this album because it reminds me of when KFJC, that great Foothill College radio station out of Los Altos, California, once a year did a 24 hour Louie, Louie marathon, and because it has Black Flag's cool version of the song.

You should!  Isn't the original lyric, "Loujoe, Loujoe/ ohhhh baby now/ me gotta go"?

I'm not sure why is this one isn't properly credited on discogs but it's a Brian Eno-David Byrne collaboration and I can't recommend it enough. Go to the release and sample the tracks on side one. This has been a favorite of mine since I bought my first copy in '82 or '83. Look at the info and what serves as the vocal  tracks. "Regiment" is a standout with the heavy groove and the Lebanese mountain singer.

Awwwwwsome!  I love this album!  I love the whole thing but now and then I'll play just the one song, "Regiment" and it never fails to put me into some weird, wonderful, spine tingling space!  Fantastic album!

Right on!! I'm glad you're familiar with it and  I hope your comment will encourage others to check out the sample tracks on discogs.

This is the clear version.  It's petty good,  with the original cover the band intended to use.  An original sounds better though,  but not by a lot.
