I have been wondering. The demonizing and vilifying of the other side has been going on for some time. I think we have reaped what we sowed. They have double down. If you demonize and vilify over policy disagreements, eventually it seems people say, "F it". Then they start voting for people that are truly awful because they demonize and vilify others. It's quite the vicious path we are on in the US.
I know myself I disgree a bunch with Elizabeth Warren. I would dismiss her as an idiot, crazy. But she isn't. Just someone I had some disagreements on topics with.
Ironically I feel we are at a point where some people deserve the demonizing. BUt not all republicans...though that number seems to be growing and growing.

The Trump right demonized and vilified themselves. They say "F it"? I say "F them".

Would have preferred to post the following in the "Cancelled" thread. Alas, members of Congress are not held to the same standard as the cast of The Mandalorian.

People are going pretty wild over it. I think it's over the top, not anti-Semitic, but definitely over the top.

It's not a case of necessarily being anti Semitic (though I have few doubts that its part of her makeup). Its a case of trivializing/marginalizing the plight of Jews in WWII.

“Over the top” of what? Your comment struck me as, “it’s over the top but meh, what’s the big deal.” What do you mean by “over the top?” It doesn’t appear, by your comment, that you’re offended by it. Care to elaborate?

Sure, I'll bite. Am I offended? No. Do I see her marginalizing something? No. That is her over the top way of making her point. She's nuts, we all know this. I see her point as saying the star and vaccine badge are a "mark of the beast". She's a crazy Christian that believes that.
I understand that anything Holocaust related is pretty much untouchable to the Jewish community.

Asking for clarification and an explanation for your remark is now considered “baiting?” Why the “sure, I’ll bite” remark?
Thank you for your explanation. It helps me understand why certain views are perpetuated, why the repub party is in the state it’s in and why it’s not going to change anytime soon.

Our conduct is determined by our relation to others or by our own moral conviction?
I do not make equivalencies to the Holocaust out of fear I might disrespect the Jewish community; rather, I would find it offensive.

I do actually. I went to their sons bar mitzvah and is one of my best friends to this day. I have never sat down to talk to him about what he went through though. That to me is too forward.
I get that her comments are out of line as everything she says pretty much is. Me not being offended by it doesn't mean it isn't wrong so don't take it like I'm ok with it, I'm not, it just doesn't offend me, my skin is thicker than most.
