No doubt. Weren't some gigapages from notebook 2002?
Anyhow... I'd probably eat it. Maybe might help feed the overpopulated earth do we don't have to war with one another.

I'd rather eat this stuff than insect protein, which is frankly the other direction we're going as the global population increases.
I've been offered baked goods made with cricket protein, but could not make myself try it.
(I have eaten frog in Vietnam, but only to not appear rude to our hosts. Would rather not go down that road, either.)
Crickets don’t sound overly appetizing, but I know people that have eaten them and it was no big thing. Frog legs are delicious, though, I don’t care what anyone says . Truthfully, if you eat shrimp, then insects should not be too much of a leap. I would probably add ketchup though, haha What I’m curious about, though, is what the anti-GMO crowd thinks about eating lab grown meat. Seems like it could be a bit of a conundrum...or maybe not?

I've eaten a cricket to impress my kid at a Halloween science scary haunted house. They're okay except when the little chirping wings get stuck in the teeth!

I don’t eat shrimp or lobster. I agree, they’re just bugs of the sea.
I’m not anti-GMO, though. Have no idea what that crowd thinks of this but they’re probably against it.
my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf
Well, GMO is not an ideal source of nutrition. But as you have referred to, its one solution for over population.

I have not eaten crickets but I have eaten deep fried, lightly salted grasshoppers. Hands down, they are the best tasting (and probably healthiest) snack food I've ever had. I'm totally serious.

I cannot say the same. Grilled shrimp is one of my favorite foods! Followed by shrimp gumbo, fried shrimp, Cajun shrimp, shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp (in my best Forest Gump “Bubba” impression)

Interesting, I may have to give them a shot!
If you can find them, yeah, give them a try. I don't know where to get them around here.

I used to love shrimp and crab and other shell fish but I don't touch any of it anymore, mainly due to the over-harvesting of sea life, but also partly due to the levels of mercury found in shell fish and partly due to increased numbers of people developing allergies to shell fish. My father became allergic and his reaction to it was very unpleasant.
my old boss at the restaurant i worked at in the 90's used to get me to cook his steak blue rare.
his plate was always full of blood. so gross.
I served blue rare when I was 14 at a restaurant that also trained me to wake drunks by pinching their shoulder nerve. Christ!

If it requires ketchup, I’m out.
It probably won't be that dry.
