Not you, Heather is deflecting. We are always being told that the media or we as a population are focused on the wrong thing when we should be focused on something else. People can focus on more than 1 issue at a time and it is just Heather's opinion, not fact. It gets old the way people try to minimize one bad thing by saying "you should be looking at this other shiny bad thing over here instead"...thus meaning to ignore the first bad thing. It's tiresome.brianlux said:cincybearcat said:
Interesting deflection. So Heather is just like all the others huh?brianlux said:OK, I'm sorry my friends (and possible foes), but I am compelled to site this quote from Heather's letter. It's something I think bears considering here on AMT:"And yet, much of American media today has been consumed not with the story that Trump has appointed a deeply problematic candidate to run what could be considered the nation’s most important department, overseeing about 3 million personnel and managing a budget of more than $800 billion, or with the reality that Biden’s distrust of our legal system under Trump is a profound warning for all of us.Instead, they have focused on President Biden’s pardon of his son...."Hmmm...Deflection? No. I don't know what you mean about Heather being just like the others.I think the point made was clear. Just saying. But not going to argue it. Moving on.to br fair, focus on one thing doesnt mean not also keeping an eye on another.further, would you say the incoming admins plans and statements to those plans from people he wishes to have confirmed or appointed are LESS important than a pardon? no matter who was pardoned?not a whataboutism but do look back at the fine folks fuckstick pardoned over the years and what they've been up to since. in addition to all the j6 felons he states he will pardon "day one".do you think hunter will continue to engage in similar behaviors going forward? other pardonees have and commited worse.and a couple pages back was a screenshot of other presidential pardons over the years... thoughts?_____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________

Fair enough, I read it as being scolded for carrying about a president lying about not and then going ahead and pardoning his SON. I found that annoying, and I find the reality of it to be awful.brianlux said:cincybearcat said:

Was it a lie? is it not possible that, given the situation at the time, he was telling the truth and that only after knowing that trump won and a total fucknut would be in charge of the DOJ that he changed his mind?cincybearcat said:

Moving on.Thanks for clarifying.I don't think Heather was saying "look at this, not that". I think it was more like, "the Biden pardon issues is a thing, but the Trump appointees are WAY more important, so let's keep our priorities straight." Also, I really don't think Heather is telling you or me what to do. She's not into being a dictator, lol.
I am also pissed off and concerned about many of trump's picks for his cabinet....starting with Secretary of Defense (since Gaetz dropped which was my #1 concern at the time)
Add to that the library of off the wall comments he made during the fall campaign? Even for him.0 -
I know calling it a lie is politically convenient...Romney even made a comment saying that he lied and it was disgraceful or something but give me a break. Circumstances changed.
And, like I mentioned before, even Gowdy and Graham said that the charges wouldn't have happened if it weren't Biden's son.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Wait, are you saying that the USgovt is providing resources to Africa INSTEAD of NC? Because I have not heard that. Otherwise this may surprise you but Congress can appropriate funds to more than one place at a time.shecky said:Unless you provide evidence this is deliberate tradeoff, you are posting the argument of a simpleton.0 -

Fair enough, I read it as being scolded for carrying about a president lying about not and then going ahead and pardoning his SON. I found that annoying, and I find the reality of it to be awful.brianlux said:cincybearcat said:
Not you, Heather is deflecting. We are always being told that the media or we as a population are focused on the wrong thing when we should be focused on something else. People can focus on more than 1 issue at a time and it is just Heather's opinion, not fact. It gets old the way people try to minimize one bad thing by saying "you should be looking at this other shiny bad thing over here instead"...thus meaning to ignore the first bad thing. I am also pissed off and concerned about many of trump's picks for his cabinet....starting with Secretary of Defense (since Gaetz dropped which was my #1 concern at the time)I hear you there. What's most disturbing about that is that his main reason for picking inept people for his cabinet is his twisted desire to destroy agencies and institutions within our government. And it's not that those agencies couldn't use some improving- I don't think anyone would argue that- but he simply wants to destroy them with no alternative plan. There's a good deal of irony there in that you hear MAGAs complain about FEMA not doing enough for storm victims in the Carolinas, yet they don't talk about what it's going to be like when the next mega-storm hits and there is no FEMA or anything to replace it. That kind of shortsightedness is puzzling at best. And, of course, besides wanting to break up these agencies and institutions, the Felon's ultimate goals are three fold: to destroy the U.S. as a country, to draw attention to himself and boost his ego, and to help the super rich become wealthier at the expense of most of the rest of us. And half the voters signed on for this? That is crazy!

In Trump's defense, he did suggest we rake California's 33 million acres of forests to prevent wildfires. What could be easier?!
