GOP nominee for senate from the state of Georgia.

sounds like a solid understanding of climate

Is this recent? Walker is just awful.

Unfortunately, people will, because voting painfully unqualified candidates into public office owns libs so hard, and that's the only thing that matters.

    They should stop and think.

if that was their doctor describing a surgical procedure would you have them operate on you? If that was your mechanic would you let them take apart your car?

These people are deciding important things that will affect your life.  Politics aside, we should all be able to agree you should need to actually be qualified for the job

I've believed for a long time now, tfg's greatest trick was convincing middle and lower class Americans that he cared about the future of this country and / or their best interest.

Seems to have paid a white supremacist organization a consulting fee to promote him on Gab and be endorsed. Seems to be actively seeking the White Nationalist vote. Gab, the same platform the Pittsburgh temple shooter posted on just before he went in and murdered worshippers.

Doug Mastriano seems to have paid Gab, far-right social networked beloved by Nazis, for followers. (slate.com)

And a reference to playing “harder ball” too. Guess the reporter and quoted didn’t get the memo about using cute little phrases?

He is being charged with second degree assault, not attempted murder.  Do you think second degree assault should mean someone is held until trial?

No I guess you got a point. Just blows my mind that he attacked someone who is running for governor with a knife and he’s out for now. He could easily do it again. But legally you are correct. Nothing we can do but wait until trial and hope he’s learned his lesson.

I think what changed in NY is that lower class felonies are not requiring bail, rather someone can be released on their own recognizance.  I would hope that would only be the case if you are not an ex-felon already, but I'm not sure.  I think jails were littered with people awaiting trial for lower charges because they couldn't afford bail.  If this person does not have a record and the charges stay at second degree assault, I think it's unlikely that he goes to trial and serves time.  He probably pleas out and gets probation or maybe some weekends in jail.

It’s a frustrating system but I sure as hell don’t have the answers. Appreciate your posts as always.

Maybe we’ll get a Long Island Oath Keeper as Governor in NY, fun times. Let’s play nice with the white nationalists, Lee.
