  • Thought we may have heard something by now no snippets from 10C or anywhere else?

With the chaotic start of vaccination in Europe and the news of declining efficiency with mutations there is no way this tour is going to happen in 2021. Even if we might make it to a relevant percentage of vaccinated people in Europe by summer, we‘ll know for sure way too late. You can‘t plan a festival tour days in advance.

An announcement could be some way away yet. Some bands are leaving it much later this time around. The Who, for instance, are still yet to pull their tour dates and those shows start next month! What with some of PJ's dates being festival shows I'm now inclined to think we wont get official word for a good few weeks yet. Wouldn't be surprised if it's April.

Hopefully before that as ticket refunds only available till March, with current dates I'll need a refund for one of my shows but don't want to take it yet in case it moves and I can make it

April 1 is the deadline to request a refund for a 10C ticket.

Is there a chance this gets postponed until fall or winter? Or is it summer 2021, summer 2022, or bust?

We should get a new Christmas single for this!

Do it like The Weeknd! Announce the tour for 2022 and add a bunch of dates for both Europe and North America...including a show at the new venue at Turku harbour in Finland 😉

They like to play Europe in June / July. My guess is it’s a combination of being able to include several festivals, plus the US summer school holidays (I think the band / EV sometimes bring their family with them for a period).

Can't see the festivals happening in Europe, to be honest, Glastonbury has already been called off. I just can't see it happening at all this year.

Agree. The tour will be postponed for one final time and will happen next year

Hopefully we get something soon from Pearl Jam. Really curious if they will mix up the schedule again. I know they love to have Amsterdam at the front for their warm up location before the tour starts but also wonder why they mixed up the schedule so much for 2021. Hopefully we still get a series of arena shows in a row like the 2020 and 2021 schedule had. Could you imagine a Budapest, Zurich, Vienna, Krakow, Prague run to end the tour!

I'm only holding onto my EU tickets in the hope that it is rescheduled and the dates are closer to the originally announced ones.

There's talk that large gatherings may not be allowed for years now. New variants emerging and being tracked all the time but not all countries have the ability to do this.

There is so much developing news every day about this stuff, it's heartbreaking to see how barely-on-top-of-it we are as a society.

Someone I know lives in the USA and takes a yearly trip to Mexico with a group of people. They're currently planning on spring 2022.

If they were to go this spring, they'd have to quarantine for two weeks before they did anything in Mexico and for two weeks upon returning to the USA.

So, yeah. I think it's safe to say no tours this year. If Pearl Jam didn't have a large number of fans willing to travel internationally and all across countries, it *might* be a different story. Bands that play smaller venues with virtually the same sets every night and would be ecstatic to get 8500? I can see them *maybe* touring with limited capacity. Maybe.

Some festivals of local bands and some marathons are already postponing. Of course, we know that Glastonbury and Coachella (I think I got those right) have already canceled...but those are different. Sonic Temple also got the axe this year. They get tens of thousands and many international fans.

But when the freaking neighborhood festivals get axed?

I have no hope for this summer.

It's being reported here in the UK that social distancing measures will have to remain here until at least the autumn, and more than likely over the winter too. Its obvious the tour won't go ahead. We'll just have to hope some sort of normal returns next year for tours to begin
If hope could grow from dirt like me, it can be done.......

Id be surprised if all tour plans dont just get binned. Seems like we will be living with this and restrictions for years.

As heartbreaking as it is, certainly in the UK I dont think we will see large scale events as we new them again for years. This could drag on for ages, people wearing face masks, social distancing. Until the government gets to a point where it accepts there will be x unavoidable deaths due to covid.

Have you not been following how effective the vaccines have been minimizing seriously sick patients and death? The timeline has been slow for rolling out vaccines but to say we are years away from being normal I am just not sure were you are getting that from. If you want to spin it around and say we do not know about the variant or the length of time the vaccine works I get it but those will be things that will be taken into account and modified going forward. We will never have zero deaths with this thing and at some point we will have to slowly pull the bandaid off and once people have been vaccinated open things back up to normal imo.
