    @jeffbr weigh in please.

My sister lives there and she says that the police leaving was strategic in that the protesters have no one to yell at.

I'll tell you this that when I was back there in 18 the police weren't allowed to do alot in the first place so not sure how bad it was there racially?

everything that i have seen across the entire duration of the protests was the police escalating tensions and acting against non violent protesters. with no police maybe they will restore the calm on their own.

Capital Hills is (was) a trendy, affluent expensive neighborhood near university of washington.  Apartments start at around $500K.  Houses around $1M.  It's a great place to set up camp.  I'm sure they have good WiFi.  Best places to live in Seattle:

    Ballard
    Capital Hill
    West Seattle
    Belltown

I'm sure this will all go well.  I say let em' have it and let's see what happens.

"Seattle has fallen" will probably be the first words out of Tucker Carlson's mouth tonight. I think that's a bit of hyperbole. I think Seattle's leaders are like "Whatever, let these people have their little protest and we'll keep out of it because we've seen how well intervening has gone around the country."

That said, I think the whole thing is ridiculous. People walking around with AR-15's and shit. The same liberals that decry that sort of thing don't seem to mind in this instance. Hopefully nobody gets hurt.

How many protesters there are walking around with AR-15's?  Is this a common sight there?  Is having protesters there carry such weapons there generally accepted or encouraged?

I'm not sure, I'm just going off a few pictures. I don't think it should be accepted or encouraged though. What can make a peaceful protest go south faster than high-powered guns?

They should probably start digging some wells.  You know, for water in their new country.  Going to take time to fill the toilet reservoir up with Dasani.

    Just some helpful tips.

Only the ones guarding the perimeter wall And checking ID’s are carrying. Don’t listen to Ledbetterman10 Brian...just because they have a border wall, demand ID, and carry assault weapons it doesn’t mean shit. It is a progressive utopia and it will be awesome.

Lol, why would they need armed people there guarding checkpoints and checking IDs?  Not very “responsible” if you ask me...

Is it about "free people setting up a new progressive police-free utopia?" How would you describe the Bundy's occupation of their cattle ranch on Federal land? Or the nature preserve in Washington State? Is that a conservative police-free utopia? Or indigenous peoples protesting/occupying because of the Keystone Pipeline? Super cool, eh?

The one picture or several?  What have you read about protesters there carry these and other weapons there?
No just the one picture and then one other image on Fox News last night (which could have been of the same person for all I know).

The strangest thing is these people are demanding IDs from the people that live in the area so they can get to their homes. Here's the article. It's Fox News so take it with a grain of salt, but still. https://www.foxnews.com/us/seattle-protests-armed-guards-local-businesses-extortion

It’s funny I don’t believe that you cared as much when the armed militia stormed the Michigan state offices armed to the teeth , threatening the governor ..

I, personally, don’t care about them here as long as they are following firearm laws and are within their constitutional rights.  But civilians acting as police while carrying a firearm isn’t really an example of following the firearm laws...

I did not. I also did not care when progressives did it to Scott Walker in Wisconsin either. Both of those groups of protesters were all wimps compared to this. This is the real deal...putting their money where there mouths are! Seattle 12th Man Baby!

Only the ones guarding the perimeter wall And checking ID’s are carrying. Don’t listen to Ledbetterman10 Brian...just because they have a border wall, demand ID, and carry assault weapons it doesn’t mean shit. It is a progressive utopia and it will be awesome.
What are you talking about? I'm agreeing with you but just not going as far as to say "Seattle has fallen" because that would suggest a violent, hostile takeover. That didn't happen. Liberal pussies are simply allowing it. You can't say "it's fallen" when what's happening is allowed, and there's been no violence. You're giving the protesters too much credit, and the leaders not enough blame.

The reality is that no one in a group this small starting a new country without access to the ocean can exist on their own.

I could start my own country in the middle of a parking garage ... sooner or later I'm going to have to ask Uncle Sam if they could lend me two buckets ... one full of water, and the other empty.

It would be cruel to watch a group of people with no survival skills barricade themselves off and watch them wither away.  Seattle will need to set up basic need facilities on the border with their new neighboring country ... there is no point in acting like this is an actual realistic plan.

All Seattle needs to do is cut off the utilities.  Not a single person is needed to dissolve this lunacy.
