If the economy stays decent it will be lights out for tRump. If he is even on the ballot.
republicans will tell you the economy is in the shitter. because that is what they have been told to say.
I met with one of my magat clients this morning....all went well until we were ending the meeting and he says "you might want to contact our senators and congressmen about this new border deal...they're going to let 5,000 illegals in each day" blah blah blah

As I was driving into work this morning I heard Mike Johnson say that same exact line...

And the GOP Senators support the bill. Fucking morons.
First, no one has seen the actual language.  If you listen to negotiators, then the border is shut if there are 5,000 "encounters" per day.  That doesn't mean entry.  And that is far fewer than today.
Staff of the respective senators have seen the actual language and they’re writing the legislation. It’ll go down to the wire with horse trading for some deeply buried spending request or change to something, some of which may be buried and not “disclosed” unless you read the full text and catch it but the important thing is that the respective conferences are in agreement and will pass the bill. That the repubs in the house are willing to blow it all up for POOTWH speaks volumes and because they have gerrymandered their districts to be so red of red, they have no cover from a POOTWH primary candidate challenge from the right. It’s a lose-lose. Or brilliant brilliance in all its brilliancy some might say.
I don't think it's true that anyone in the House has read the proposed bill.  It has not been delivered to them.  That's where the Speaker is really taking the incoming fire, declaring the bill is DOA when it hasn't been released to the public or the House.

The final bill, no. But the meat and potatoes, the substance, absolutely. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have announced a “deal.” Now, whether the house will schedule a vote after release of the bill or hem and haw and look at their shoes and shuffle their feet, remains to be seen. Sometimes a reasonable review period is allowed before the vote is scheduled and other times it’s “rammed through” with little time to review it before the vote.

What this boils down to is that the house repubs can’t manage their caucus because of the freedumb caucus and the 800 pound POOTWH elephant in the room. We’ve seen this act already. They created the “crisis”, now there’s a bipartisan solution proposed and they want to run from it so they can run on it. They have a choice, pass it and take credit and maybe keep the house or never schedule a vote or vote it down and lose the house and WH. And it’s all POOTWH.

They really need to stop listening to the cult for their political advice as they really only represent the 35-40%.

Brilliant brilliance in all its brilliancy.

Well, that was quick. And there’s that “progressive” polling data point I referenced when another poster was claiming Brandon is the “most progressive POTUS since FDR.”

The MAGA meltdown on this is so great.  And it's all a part of the grift.  If the right wing "influencers" actually cared about winning an election vs monetizing anger, they would know not to upset the Swifties.  They are passionately defensive of Taylor.  She's going to endorse Biden.  She is going to push people to register to vote.  It will make a difference.  But the right wing going after Taylor is just going to make it that much worse for MAGA.  They are setting a trap that they will spring on themselves.  And it's going to be hilarious... again.

Good article from the Bulwark.  https://plus.thebulwark.com/p/maga-has-tds-taylor-derangement-syndrome

As the photo shows she was around in 2020, and it took an enormous mail in vote for Biden to squeak out a win. It will be a gigunda task for Biden to get those 16 million additional votes he received over Hilary’s 2016 total, without an extensive record breaking mail in vote happening this time. he will likely need even more votes this election.
biden did not "squeak out a win". he won popular vote by 7 million votes and he won the electoral college 306 to 232. trump won the ec in 2016 by the exact same margin and people called it a landslide.

for some reason I feel like she's like 100 times bigger than she was even just 4 years ago. could just be my perception. and a LOT of her fans became voting age over that time.
Good point… I’m also not convinced trump’s going to get 74M votes like he did in 2020… I have no doubt he’ll get a lot, but I can’t help but think RvW alone is going to hurt.
i think he will get fewer than 74 million. many of his voters have died due to ongoing covid and old age. the gop is a shrinking party. especially after roe was repealed. trump is not winning any new voters, and 3rd party candidates are going to pull more from trump than biden. 71 million tops is my prediction.

i'll show texas. if they keep up with this secession bs i say we let them go but at least get something for texas. i say we sell texas to mexico for 20 trillion bucks. get ourselves out of debt, pay for college and health care for everybody, and then let texas be a territory of mexico and the border issue resolves itself. that will show them.

“The height of stupidity is having a strong opinion on something you know nothing about,” Crenshaw said Thursday. “So, I don’t have a strong opinion on the bill because I haven’t seen it. Nobody has.”
Again, that’s blowing smoke up everyone’s ass. “Nobody’s seen it” is true but the substance of the bill is known, it’s been negotiated by the respective senate conferences and the majority of both senate parties are ready to vote and pass it. When they do, the house can accept it as is and hold a vote or, the repub majority can pass their own similar bill, and the two bills can go through a reconciliation process for a final bill to be voted upon in both chambers. What Crenshaw is implying by saying “nobody has seen the bill,” suggests that he doesn’t trust his senate colleagues and he doesn’t have a “strong” opinion. How about an opinion on what is known about what is in the bill?

He could say, “while I haven’t seen a final bill so it’s difficult to comment, I’m encouraged by some aspects that have been reported such as, blah, blah, blah but as you know, the devil is in the details and I look forward to reading the full bill. If I think it’ll secure the border, I’ll support it. If it doesn’t secure the border I’ll say so and the house will offer alternatives.”

These fucks manufactured a crises and Brandon and the chaos Dems compromised with reasonable repubs in the senate and they’re walking away because of POOTWH and “the ‘nobody’s’ Seen the bill” is a cop out. Are you falling for that lame ass excuse? I’m not.

    The give away:

Guess we’ll find out Sunday, just in time for the morning talk shows.

Asked about Trump, though, Crenshaw told a CNN reporter to not “create some kind of drama here.”

“Stop instigating against border security,” Crenshaw said. “If the bill sucks, the bill sucks. But we don’t know if the bill sucks.”

and we smacked down our gop led government hard on their proposed ohio constitution amendment making it harder for us to amend then shoved 3 boots ip their ass sideways enshrining reproductive rights into the same.

next up is a redistricting amendment putting citizens in charge and another on voting rights ..
