Binaural begs to differ. No way I’m taking a song like never destination over Grievance, or buckle up over Light Years.

Binaural is not in the same class as gigaton and it’s not even close. Sorry

Let's get some love for Josh Evans for getting this band on their feet to actively create impactful music again (with room for a lot more).
Let's get some love for Matt Fucking Cameron just BRINGING IT on the top of his game finally on a PJ album.

Who am I kidding, everyone else just played an awesome role too – Jeff's songs/parts were fantastic, Ed remains a powerful visionary, MIKE SOLOS, and Stone Gossard is Stone Gossard!

Grievance is a great song and there are some other good ones on there too.  But there are some duds also!  No way I'm taking Evacuation over any song on Gigaton!  As a whole Gigaton is superior.

It's funny you say that because I feel like Quick Escape is like a fully realized version of what they were going for with Evacuation.

I agree - totally agree!  It is better than Yield.  Although Yield has great moments, don't get me wrong.  This one is way up there.  I'll put this right now in my personal list 3rd after Vs (1) and Ten (2).  No Code a tight 4, then Vitalogy and then the rest.  This is like Led Zep In through the out door to me.  Shows a lot of maturing.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
  • There's not a single song on this album that I want to skip.  I can't say that about too many albums.  LOVE this one.

Right now it’s my favorite since Yield. I expect that to change though, I liked LB better than BS and RA on first listen just due to the excitement of a new album, but didn’t take long to easily be my least favorite.
I expect I’ll always like this some better than the last 2, might finish off on the level with Avocado. Which I’m happy with, I still enjoy that album. But we’ll see in a month. I’ve already listened to it about 15 times all the way through as I got a copy a week early and I’m still feeling just as strong about it.
