    I like how Spotify tries to play "similar" songs after your playlist/album ends. Sometimes it's good (following up DOTC with "Love, Reign O'er Me" is not too bad at all), sometimes it's not. The song it played after "Quick Escape" just now?

    3/3 for sure!!  Intro definitely has a Zeppelin feel to it.  I kept hearing something really familiar in the chorus but couldn't place it until now....

    Anyone else hear some Nirvana - "school" in the chorus??

    Regardless of the comparisons, it's just a badass song!   Can't wait to spin this record and play some PJ space invaders!!

    Wow, that is a great fn tune!  It usually takes a few listens for me to like/appreciate most songs.  This one nailed it on the first listen!
    The layering of the guitars, bass and drums is incredible!  It def had a Zep - When the Levy Breaks vibe mixed in with a little Rage (Tom Morello).
    Good stuff!

    A little bit. Wouldn’t have ever noticed it but now that ya mention it, it is a little similar. I could hear “no recess” where he says “quick escape”

    Does anyone think the video of Quick Escape would have been what we saw in the March 25 movie theater experience?  Hearing that song with the video on a large screen with Dolby Atmos would have been amazing and worth the price of admission.

    Has anyone deciphered the spoken words in the middle of the song when the piano comes in? Sounds like Ed speaking as if through a headset radio like a pilot.

    How in the sam-hill was not the lead single? I know they have a history of choosing the likes of Who You Are and Nothing As It Seems over more "single-like" songs like Hail Hail and Grievance. But come on, this would've been such a great "Pearl Jam is BACK" single for the masses. No reason not to like it, no need to try and figure it out or let it grow on you, just a great tune everybody can enjoy.
