Right move. I’m personally glad I don’t have to make decision to travel. Was going to nashville. Kind of relieved the pressure is off me to make the decision
My head knows it is the right decision. My heart is crushed.
Me too. Goodbye two shows.
Postponed doesn't mean cancelled. The Stones postponed their tour, and we were able to use our same tickets, just a few months later.
I know but I have a busy schedule and I’ll be surprised if I can make both. Especially considering I was traveling to Baltimore since it was a Saturday. I get the decision. This just takes some excitement away from the new album.
I respect and support the decision. It’s a hard call but the right call.
But fuck this puts me in a financial hole. Doubt I’ll be able to get flight money back and will have to eat the TM money until they announce the new dates at minimum and my shows may not longer be on weekends. It really sucks.
Well, the other thread finally got taken out of it's misery. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the yahoos (on both sides) get this one shut down too.
That's hilarious, I had no idea the other thread was shut down. I had posted on it before the true madness took hold. This thread needs to be taken out of its misery before it inevitably faces the same fate.
Looks like this thread and the other thread were headed in the right direction.
It's the right thing to do. They gave as much lead time notice as they could. Financially the tickets you have will probably be valid on the new dates Hotels will most likely allow refunds or credit for future date. Airlines are doing the same, no refunds but full credit for future travel
I’m 68 and an organ transplant. I will be bowing out, unfortunately. Under normal circumstances, I have to take preventive measures. Not gonna chance it. It’d be like going to a brothel without a raincoat.
My father-in-law has had two; we told him, if he gets this, he's history. Take care of yourself!
How many people posting on these threads attended the Spectrum shows? I did -- my whole family did. We all got H1N1. We were not alone!
I went to the Spectrum shows in 2009 and I got H1N1 too! (not-diagnosed but seemed like it). I didn't know it was a thing that people at the shows got it, although obviously H1N1 was going around then...
I remember a LOT of posts about it. My best guess, since we didn't buy beers or anything and I was the first to get sick, is that someone in the box office had it (I picked up our tickets). Digital tickets mitigate that specific risk, but, really, they are doing the responsible thing by postponing. Just think of how packed together people are in GA.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
Chances are slim they can squeeze the rescheduled dates into Summer, Fall ,Winter (they probably already have leg 2 dates almost finalized) so....We are looking Early 2021 - Assuming venues have openings....
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE: Maybe the rescheduled shows will be Pearl Jam only and 3.5hr shows
I’m sorry, but this is a terrible decision. Zero reason to cancel as of now. Many of us have hotels and flights, and flights mostly can’t be refunded. And I’m not being selfish, more people are infected with countless other illnesses every day. This is just over reaction

You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
