Which is more punishing for fans, this Sirius contest or having folks line up in large cities on streets overnight to get close to the stage?

If you don’t think there’s going to be people lining up overnight in hopes of working their way into this show, I’ve got news for you.

I think the only opener I remember enjoying was Band of Horses and I knew the one Death Cab song from radio, so that was helpful.

That’s a shame. For my money they’re the only group out there whose shows come close to what it’s like to see PJ.

+1. That’s usually my prompt to change the station for a few minutes, but not today!

Agree they are pretty fantastic live but admittedly, I have not been hooked in the way I probably should be as far as regular rotation.  MMJ > KoL > PJ at Lolla 07 was amazing.  I absolutely love their cover of "Rocket Man".

Definitely wY better live than album. Closest experience to a pj live show.

MMJ @ Red Rocks last year is probably the closest thing to a Pearl Jam show I’ve ever been to outside of the real thing. In terms of length, set list, crowd energy, and of course in terms of melting faces. Also in the sense that we met some cool people but also a decent smattering of assholes (word to the wise: if you’re going to Red Rocks, don’t do GA).
