As frustrating as this has been, thanks to everyone on here for keeping me sane! I'm still holding out hope for hometown B-more tickets, but happy to visit Ottawa for the first time. I love the idea of F5 t-shirts, perhaps I'll sell some to pay for our flight to Canada!
Amen to that. If nothing more this has been quite the bonding experience between this bleep show and The Apollo contest on Sirius!!
So yeah, I’ve got things to do and would gladly cough up $150 or more over face to get back to my life and job. I’d just love the option to pay more to get four together. That’s all.
I hear you, but big picture...this exactly what the band is trying to avoid, that people with more money are the ones that get in. Your ability and willingness to pay more would shut out a fan who can't afford to pay more, plus that extra $150 doesnt go to the band/promoter/TM, it goes to a scalper/StubHub. I'm in a similar boat as you, but what we know now is that a huge majority of tickets is in the hands of true fans (those who won the lottery or have F5'd the resale to death) at face value.
Totally agree that I’m in the minority.
I don’t have all the answers. It seems like they could find a balance.
Do the same drill as they did this year. Hold back 10% themselves and manage them like a broker with the money going right to their foundation instead of a scalper. Rather than put fifty $1200 Vitology foundation tickets up, put 500 tickets up on stubhub and take the money for a good cause.
What other states don’t slow restrictions like NY and CO? That honestly might change my fall plans. If I can travel to a site and sit with my family in seats o choose, I may take that option up front rather than try to win internet drawings with terrible odds.

One of the resale sites has state by state law breakdowns. Most of them are very outdated. I don't want to post the link and get in trouble by the mods for linking to a resale site or by thread police, but the info is out there. I knew about NY, but had no idea CO was pro-scalper too.
I do appreciate the thought of keeping the tickets out of the scalpers hands but this has gotten absurd. I also don’t see it getting any better for the next few weeks. Just seems like there has to be a better way. Maybe a random drawing for tickets every Monday for all the tickets that were sold back that week or something? Then just keep doing that until day of show. Just seems insane the collective amount of time we have to waste refreshing for 12 hours a day. Stoked for all who got tickets but bummed for those who will not after spending scores and scores of hours trying.
I scored a ridiculously good upgrade for Oakland N1. 114 Row A5 (2nd row off the floor) popped up this morning when I randomly refreshed a couple times and I was lucky enough to get them. I listed my 101 Row 22 pair and they sold almost instantly. It's an easy process, but there's a lot of luck involved for sure.
I just missed those 114s, then missed 106, 108.... Floor F, passed on the 101s ( about the same as I have) also seen several in 200s

It's pro free market and pro "Once I buy the right to a ticket I own it and get to decide what I gonna do with it."
Scalping is just the collateral impact to that.
