Since a summer of concerts is cancelled I had an idea. Find a place to camp out, set up a projector and play concerts; have a “festival” of my own with a bunch of friends (once things open up)

That would be fun. Any type of socializing at this point seems like a dream cone true.

Absolutely. Even when we aren’t social with too many people in general, this sucks

I would be shocked beyond belief if it happens, but will cross my toes for you.

I was surprised to see the payment taken out for Sea Hear Now. It’s going to be cancelled... but will try to be positive about it

I’m wondering about that as well. I paid for my whole ticket upfront so it would be nice to know soon what is happening with that. Hope everyone is doing well.

Pilgrimage Festival in Tennessee (9/26-27) has just cancelled.

(EV solo at that fest in 2017 was awesome.)

I think events are holding out hope a miracle happens.  Sea Hear Now is in September.. so I'm guessing they hold out til late July, Early august to see if a Miracle happens, then cancel if not?  No real need to cancel 4 months in advance when you can wait to see if anything changes?

There won’t be a miracle in the “one day it will just disappear” sense. Widespread vaccine availability end of year is the best case scenario even from the most optimistic experts.  The only thing that could happen sooner would be the development and availability of an antiviral drug. Odds are stacked against, but I’m happy to wait a few weeks before they call it.

Hey gang - hope everyone is well.  Sorry for not getting the Zoom happy hour together this week, as we have been out of town and also have something going on this weekend.

Is anyone interested in having one next Wed night, 7:30pm (eastern) 5/27/20?

Ok, We'll set up the zoom meeting!  Do you think we should email some invites like previously or handle it some other way?

Great. Thanks. I think that sending out some PMs to the regulars would be good since some may not be regularly checking into the thread. Maybe the same list as last time would work.

Hey all! hope everyone is good and healthy...
Won't be able to make the Zoom on the 27th( wife's Bday). But would def do the next one.
As far as the sea hear now. I am going with it will happen. I know I'm in the minority on this but.....if beaches are open and we don't get hit with a bad second wave. I believe they will let it go on.

I disagree, but I love the way you’re thinking.

I just don't want them taking my layaway money.   And Murphy is a clown so who knows with him and his tyranny rules and what suits him week to week.  .but fingers and toes crossed
