    https://www.macleans.ca/news/canada-is-about-to-surpass-the-u-s-in-first-doses-of-the-covid-vaccine/

In Canada, only nine per cent say they won’t get the vaccine compared to 88 per cent who either will or have received a dose, according to a new Angus Reid poll, which bodes well for Canada achieving herd immunity

I think all of that 9% are on facebook.

    All of them, loudly.

Ya not questioning you just did not see anything from the news today about the 75% was single or double. I saw those restrictions before and the percentage needed. Hoping it is just a single shot.

    The Cuomo model:

pocket 5 million dollars for writing a book about being a leader during a pandemic, mid pandemic, while also being accused of sexual harassment and covering up nursing homes deaths.
Has anyone here praised Cuomo in recent months?

    If so, I missed it.
Did I say anyone Praised Cuomo recently?if so, I missed it
Got Cuomo on the mind even when no one's talking about him, eh? Seems he really got to you.
News of how much he got paid for that ridiculous book came out yesterday. That is all.

And yes he did really get to me. Is that ok? His actions have direct consequences to me since I live here.
You are only allowed to reference Trump or shitty republican politicians. Please keep that in mind for future reference.
Haha. Sure seems that way. And that’s not a good thing at all. A shitty person is a shitty person no matter race, party , gender etc....
    You’re right.
Cuomo is no less an example of a shitty politician / person than Desantis or any one else.

    Apologies.
    All good.

In my real life experience all of my friends and family can't get vaccine's soon enough.   Even at work.  My customers all seem on board with vaccines.  The worse is a few coworkers who want to take a wait and see approach.    It does feel like most people I encounter are very pro vaccine.  Hopefully this bodes well.

one of the only people I've come across that is taking the "not enough data" approach is.....our family's best friends. it's mostly driven by the patriarch of the family. hoping his kids and wife at least get it. otherwise.....

OMG! My band is done because now that I've had my first shot, being in the same room with me will compromise my drummers immune system.

Pretty surprised and happy to see this happen. Only like 8% attendance but its a start. Also I read an article a couple of hours before that were Canada would have zero fans all playoffs. Goes to show at this point you have to take the news with a grain of salt since things flip so fast.

Mine hasn't. But she thinks this may be a common side effect that can spread.
Apparently, there are websites that report what is really going on.

I went to my first ticketed event in 15 months yesterday. White Sox at Twins. Got some really good seats and saw a great game. Having OCD and being risk-averse, I wasn't always comfortable, but now that I've had dose #2 (and the two weeks has passed), I have to do something. It was an OK experience.  Sat third row behind the visitors dugout.  Someone right behind us and nobody in rows 1 and 2. Maybe no-shows, but if those seats were not sold, then..? (We moved up to the front row and had distance).

The staff did OK with masks. The fans? Not so much.

I still don't see the point in masks if outdoors unless you're so close to the person you can give mouth to mouth. if there's even a slight breeze those virus particles are in the wind.

mind you, I'm not an infectious disease specialist. Just read a bunch that masks outdoors are kinda dumb.

I too have ocd. It's  so hard  to go against  the thoughts  well done indeed. I know what that  takes. Every show has been an absolute horror in the build up months before. So i say  a heart felt well done.

I went to the Twins/Sox game Monday & Tuesday this week too!

    GO GO White Sox!

I'm 2 weeks out from my second shot.  It was great to walk around outside without a mask on!

When I went a few weeks ago, a bunch of the seats were zip-tied closed to keep groups separated.  Zip-ties are gone now.

I think they are still limiting capacity though.  I notices all the seats at the end of the row, on the aisle, are not being sold.

I'm sure you enjoyed monday more than tuesday. For my part, I'm really glad I chose Tuesday.

Anyway, my two weeks was complete on Sunday and since I'd come this far, I decided to consider myself "unvaccinated" until then. I was disappointed when the Twins opened more seats because I wanted to go in the 10000 capacity (not for covid reasons; just for the sparse crowd).

Covid or no covid, it's pretty nice not have giant lines and the outrageously packed concourse for the final 30 minutes before first pitch. All in all, it was a pretty good experience not dealing with crowds.  Also, it was probably my 50th or 60th game there and only the second time I went by car and parking was a breeze...
