I chose the “help Ed make the setlist” option.  $500 Canadian which equates to $2 usd.
For only $4500 CDN more, I got "Pearl Jam plays only Rush and Tragically Hip songs".
How much to replace Rush with Alexisonfire?

Sorry no thrash here. We only take City and Color requests. Only if it’s requested with the American spelling.

question for those who have rec’d confirmation: was it sent to your TM email account or your 10C (assuming you use different addresses)?
Ack for some reason I was remembering that your 10c and Ticketmaster email addresses needed to be the same to be eligible but it’s your name that had to be. Whew.

  • I'm worried since I haven't been a member very long, just over two years, that if I end up with reserved (I chose best available) I won't have good seats. If that's the case I'm more than willing to pay more to upgrade, but with public tickets going on sale first I'm kind of put in a predicament..... should I try to purchase the best ticket available through Verified Fan/Public Sale without knowing where my 10c seats are going to be? According to what I've read it seems I'd be able to sell the 10c tickets at face value through the Fan to Fan Exchange but I know that's a brand new process so I'm not 100% sure that'd be the case.

I love the band and will be grateful just to be in the building, I'm just trying to maximize my concert experience

I don't think it's unreasonable to be annoyed by the lack of information re: GA v. reserved. I'm just curious if anyone has a reasonable explanation for NOT sending that info? I'm seeing the "TM is nefarious" theories (which I wouldn't dismiss entirely), but one of two things must be true:
    1) They don't yet know who got GA and who got reserved. Why/how would that be the case? or,
    2) They do know, but have chosen not to provide that information now. Why would that be the case?
    1) that is definitely not the case
    2) I think it's specifically to discourage people from playing the ticket trading/upgrading game. You Get What You Get, And You Don't Get Upset.
A reasonable guess, though "you don't get upset" is perhaps not within their control. I also wonder how much of an effect it will have on trading/upgrading. Will NOT knowing make people less likely to buy different tickets via the VF sale (because that's the only significant even that happens before our seats are revealed)?
oh yeah, the don't get upset part was a joke--people are going to be upset no matter what.  the second part is interesting--definitely possible that it would in fact lead to more people attempting to 'upgrade' on the unknown

This is where I'm at too. 1 simply cannot be true, it would be impossible for them to run the lotteries without sorting the winners into GA & reserved unless (a) they had so few entries vs. available tickets that they could accommodate any permutation of GA/reserved requests (not likely) or (b) every person who entered chose "Best Available" (also not likely).

I still can't think of a decent answer for 2. I don't have a great theory about exactly how Ticketmaster would be juking things around to their benefit, but in the absence of some kind of alternative colorable argument for why they might be doing this I'm left to assume the worst about them.

Yes, you have nothing to lose with trying in the VF and Public sale.  I know I can easily sell extra tix to fellow fans.

I'm guessing the difference is negligible, but I don't know. Would someone who hoped for GA, but has a high 10c number take a flyer on VF sale tickets in the hope they'd be better than the 10c tickets?

I think it's moot.  PJ takes up all the best seats.  Ergo (unless something goes wrong). The worst 10c seat should still be better than the best public seat.   The only exception might be release holds later on.   Stuff that was held for friends/family/radio but not used.  Sometimes some side stage tix closer to the day of the show kind of thing.   For the most part though... TM will be worse.

Hopefully this creates one place for results & excitement. Would be helpful if people sharing results could post:

    (1) Show
    (2) GA, Reserved or Best selected
    (3) Result
    (4) 10C number if Reserved.

for each show in the order you ranked them.

    Good luck everyone!

For anyone who hasn't received an email confirmation yet: I know this is hard to hear but you really can relax. It takes them a long time to get through the credit card charging process and the emails roll out over several hours. These were all 99% shows, if you picked Best Available you're going.
