Mastering aside, the quality of the pressing will be worth the $40

So how not limited is the 7"?

They really need to stop calling things "limited".  Wasn't the new BP called limited?  That's still for sale...
    they limit it to 100,000

Wasn’t planning to. I don’t use physical media these days, with streaming services being so convenient and tied into my home automation systems.

But... just pulled the trigger anyway. CD / 7” bundle. I’m on the hype train - Choo Choo!!!

No idea what I’ll do with the stuff when I get it.  It’ll probably be like my copy of Radiohead’s OKNOTOK, and sit in my closet collecting dust.

The only physical media I buy now is vinyl, and I don't buy as much of that as I used to. But for a PJ record, it is an automatic purchase for me. I'll skip the CD, but will grab the LP. Hopefully it proves to be worthy of regular spins on the turntable! Definitely looking forward to it.

  • I purchased a vinyl and then a CD/7' bundle. A little disappointed you can't order them together but I'm sure there's a good reason for it. The standalone CD is no longer available in the GOODS section so I had to buy the bundle with the 7". I'm having them both shipped to my parents place in the US as shipping equaled the cost of the items to ship to Canada so I'm hoping on release day I get a download link for 10c and then I'll just have to wait till the next time my parents go down to their place and bring the mail back for me to enjoy the physical copies. Less than ideal, but every album I can think of from the last 14+ years that I've bought in the 10C store has come with some sort of little extra bonus so it's a small risk I'm willing to take to wait a little longer for the physical copies.
@Dead Man Walking who's this stranger?
@tempo_n_groove It's new album time! You knew i'd be back around these parts...

Today I had an impulse to pre-order the vinyl.  I put the standard version in my cart, $34.99.  The shipping cost was $17.55.  I find that to be ridiculous to the point of laughable.  I only live two states away from Washington.  It's a no brainer to just support my local record store and spend the $17 bucks on other music.  Am I missing something here?

Probably not, will most likely just listen on Spotify. Might buy it if you need it for Atmos.

No but only because I’m broke. It’s Spotify until I’m not.

I ordered the vinyl from 10C, and I’ll pick up the CD for my car at some point. My local JB Hifi store is shit though, so I’ll probably be waiting a few days for them to get any stock.

My local shop is staying open and doing phone orders/curbside service. I put a hold on Gigaton there and canceled my order on Amazon. We’ll see if anything changes by next week.

Yes, automatic, very soon after its announcement.  Maybe I'm an outlier because if they took a dump on a CD or worse, did an A cappella Christmas album, I would automatically purchase as well.  Thankfully from the 2 singles, 2 clips, and the Superbowl commercial, it looks like money well spent.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
