So anything in where these billboards have been placed? They all seem to be very close to a coastline or body of water (except maybe one of them in Europe 🤷🏻‍♂️) 🤔

  • Ive been thinking  for a while about all this carbon footprint.
How many fans from lets say Budapest are going to that show.
Most are from over seas.  Lots usa.
Ticket price are way above the means of locals and true of poland too.
Shows in areas such as major usa cities or london would have many more locals and less long distance travelling.
I was just thinking the footprint of the fans is huge in gigs in some of these  countries which may not have a massive volume of local fans.

Made it to the Sydney Billboard today and I am surprised no one else tried this, I must say the new album tastes great!

My daughter also decided to wash her hair in the cleansing goodness of Pearl Jam

Very cool! I was there at around 3.30 this afternoon. Some cyclists passed me and yelled out “Yeah! Pearl Jam!” which was fun

Have they all been found now? I haven’t gone through the multiple threads for photos yet

I was there around midday today, was another family of fans there doing the same thing. All the posters around the world have been found!

UPDATE for Toronto!! Might be nothing but the GPS coordinates have changed slightly (other cities the same currently). Same area just around the corner. Might be the wall on the side of Barocco X Nino at 974 College Street. Worth checking out if anyone is close by. Let me know if you find anything different :)

I read somewhere that it's recycled urine. One of Pearl Jam's new ecological causes for the new tour.

We probably need more than that, the fires have been ridiculous. I guess you have probably seen that as I saw on the news that Auckland got covered in the smoke haze from our fires last week! There is forecast rain for the end of the week so hopefully the fires get drenched and it can be over!

I see from the list of shows you attended that we have one show in common as I attended the 2009 Auckland show, it was a great gig!
  • Do these triangles mean anything? There are some in my neighborhood. Can't fingure out a system. That one's at a famous touristic place in Vienna, a other one is at a crossing 🤷‍♀️

Noticed those too having a muck around with the map. Probably mean nothing right!?! But interesting that they only appear in a small amount of places (i.e. as if they are chosen spots like the flames/heart 🤷🏻‍♂️).

At the very least we have the best album art since Riot Act
Or the worst album art since the inception of album art.

I would like to go on record as not being sure what Gigaton refers to just yet and am not overly invested in being right about it either way
Ha, its possible its something else.  I'm not overly invested in being right about it.  I just think its all interesting.

To me...since every billboard has Gigiton on it, in the new "heartrate" font that they debuted last night....i doubt they are referencing the software that is used for the animation.
Right. It being given the same treatment as the heartbeat artwork means it’s related to the band not the software. It’s what they named the lens/filter, it’s not the company name. Also, it’s Gigaton not Gigiton.
Seems conceivable that the company would want to be represented without disrupting a client’s artistic decisions.

Noticed in an article I read that they used the heart icon on the map for Australia. Nicely done with what they are going through down there. Thoughts and prayers to those impacted.

I think all locations have been found, but I am curious about the mysterious triangles in some locations.   Any idea?

Seems like the map/site would have more to offer, otherwise that was an elaborate thing for only a day’s worth of hype. Maybe more gets unveiled today with the rest of the announcement(s)?

Maybe something to do with the track list. They didn’t reveal that today with album or tour announcement and they did a slow reveal with LB release.

yay - more woke scolding from multimillionaire rock stars who are about to lay a carbon footprint bigger than a Central American country from their world tour.

I'm not sure why anyone's salary makes them more or less responsible to understand and talk about climate change.    Only middle class people should talk about climate change?   I don't understand this post at all.
