I only held off on getting early SHN tickets because I was hoping/assuming there would be a 10C option - looks like that's not the case.
Me too.
Fucker!
Wait for the single day sale.
Wait, when is that?
I was all set to buy a 2 day GA+ or VIP.
They have done it after a little while after the 2 day sale every year. 185 for a line up that is weak IMO just to go Sunday night. Ill be waiting since ya know more fall dates coming

so we have pittsburgh and sea hear now festival pretty much locked up?
You still on Howell? I lived in freehold, but moved to Howell now. I heard sea hear now from my source is a go. Nice to have a show 20 minutes away
Yeah still in howell, we aren’t going anywhere for awhile. As close as it is I m gonna pass on the festival. Just not my cup of tea.
Cool, cool. I’m in Heritage point now. Not a big fan of festivals either. Not keen on it probably being a football Sunday too but at least their set is probably at night. Since it’s so close, I guess I’ll go. I’ll be shocked if I care to see more than one other band in lineup. Hope they play a full set and not a festival set.
We looked at houses in there! Small world. Yeah festivals just are t my thing anymore. Staring at a screen from a few hundred yards away just isn’t worth it to me.
Knowing asbury, I can’t imagine where they could have it that you would be really far away. Can’t be more than say wrigley being along the baselines, I wouldn’t think. Anyone go to this awfully named festival last year? I’m like 20 minutes away and never heard anything of it last year.
I am laughing thinking about the parking especially for non-locals that won’t know anywhere else to go. Going to be a disaster. Did they ever finish that parking garage? Parking is awful there on even a Tuesday night April through September is the weather is nice.
Parking garage is approved but no construction started.
You know you’re fan base is getting old when all they do is complain about parking.
Those that don’t already know will be complaining later. It’s obvious if a big festival is going to go on, the organizers and town have full knowledge that there’s nowhere near ample parking for it among other things (like roads to get to it) . But you know, money. If the weather is good, it will still be mobbed there that weekend festival or no festival.
The organizers really stress public transportation. Yes... parking will be tough but they survived Dave Matthews Band last year.
Asbury Park is only one square mile. It’s not like you’d would have far to walk wherever you found a spot (as long as you avoid certain west side neighborhoods.) Plenty of options in nearby towns as well or take the train. Another option is to park at the Seaview Mall and take a 5 minute Uber ride onto the city. The bus also runs from the mall right into the city. The options are not that bad compared to dropping $50 plus on parking in NYC for a few hours and walking 3 or 4 city blocks to MSG.
SHN website is not much help. They recommend the train, which only runs along the shore. They say heres a link to town parking, which is limited and will be full early in the day. There is a garage in town, with reviewers complaining they got locked out at midnight.
The mall seems like a good idea. Until I check google and the last bus is at 5.30
Festivals are wonderful.
You can take the train from penn station to long branch and change trains there to the shore line. Piece of cake.

They won't do it, but announcing fall dates now would make people more comfortable unloading their spring tix. Like, if you were thinking about pulling the plug on your spring show due to concern of getting sick, knowing that they were playing close to you in the fall would make it a lot easier.
Exactly. They don't do a lot of stuff which would make sense.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
I don’t know shit. But based on the 2020 dates so far, logistics are kind of out the window as far as travel. That said, here’s my stab so far.
9/04 Pittsburgh 9/06 Columbus/Detroit 9/08 Indy 9/11 Chicago 9/12 Chicago 9/14. Minneapolis 9/16 Grand Rapids (or spicy Kalamazoo 🤞🤞🤞) 9/ 18 Detroit/Columbus 9/20 Sea Hear Now
With Ohana (Sept. 26-27) being added I'm worried about where they would fit any additional northeast shows. There doesn't appear to be too much time between the end of the European tour (July 23) and the rumored Pittsburgh date. Does anyone think Boston/Hartford/Philly/New York would be before Pittsburgh? Or would they need to be shoehorned between Sea Hear Now and Ohana?

I'll bet there will be a few 1 day VIP passes that make their rounds around here too.
Also, weather at outdoor festivals is always a big deal. If it's 95 degrees out or raining people are gonna give away tickets.
I'm gonna wait.
