we are sitting at about 35c mid north coast NSW. Into the 40c plus tomorrow then hopefully a cool change. Many fireworks for new years eve are still deciding to cancel including Sydney. The decision has to be made by the RFS and sydney city council. I hope they cancel

they decided to go ahead with sydney fireworks. stupid as they have blocked 2 vantage points due to bushfire risk wtf? money talks hope they all feel guilty sitting there watching the sky light up while thousands are protecting the state from lighting up. RIP those brave heroes that have perished.

2 of the trucks were decimated they actually had to abandon them and get out and be rescued by other teams called in. They were hospitalised but were ok.

safe for now we already had massive fires around 6 weeks ago burning 32,000 hectares through my local area. still alot of bush to burn and we have fires popping up here and there. Just as we speak a nice dry lightning storm has passed with little rain and a tonne of lightning. how nice for the anxiety nerves. God im over it. All I can smell is smoke anyway and have done for the last 2 months or more. im truly heartbroken for my country and most people feel the same. 480,000,000 animals have perished since september yes half a billion.
third state of emergency declared tomorrow morning for NSW for the next 7 days. This gives all power to NSWRFS. 250km stretch of south east quadrant of NSW already fire ravaged is being evacuated ahead of saturdays catastrophic fire conditions with temps in the mid to high 40C range with westerly winds gusting up to 80km/hr. the entire Kosciusko national park is being evacuated also by 10am tomorrow and all livestock to hopefully be moved to safety by Saturday morning. VIC gippsland region devastated by new years eve fires are being evacuated by Australian defence force.
