Just looking over potential Fenway dates :
Red Sox are on a long road trip from 8/20-8/30
Green Day is 8/27 and Billy Joel 8/28.That leaves 8/21 thru 8/24 as my best guess window for PJ at Fenway in 2020.
Maybe 8/21 and 8/23 or 8/22 and 8/24???0 -

I'm just glad they are still a band.
I was getting pretty worried that maybe they were just done.
No news of any sorts for months/years on end. Most bands don't release new material prior to every tour. The play greatest hits and everybody loves it. Some fans here here want nothing but new stuff, rarities, obscure tracks & deep cuts.
I will take this good news ( that they've announced gigs and run with it..
It's funny just last night I was thinking about starting a new thread called
COME BACK.
It was going to be a thread where fans could express their appreciation for this band, maybe make a plea or sign a petition for them to get back in the saddle, what the band has meant to them over the years, songs or albums that got us through good times and bad. Maybe at some point I'll try to start the
Pearl Jam Appreciation Thread.
They don't have to drop a new album and come up with a new stage design for me to enjoy. They can put whatever stage they want out there, doesn't matter to me what songs they decided to play, Greatest Hits, Rarities, Full albums or all of the above. I don't understand all the whining and telling them what they should do to make us happy and what we deserve.
I don't know, do the die-hard Neil Young fans, Who fans, Fleetwood Mac fans, John Mellencamp fans, fill in the blank fans do this? Scream from the rooftops demanding a new album before the tour! Telling them what to do, where to play, what the bloody stage should look like, and what songs they should play every time a gig is announced? I may be naive but I don't think so.
If you don't like the venue they're playing in,
(for instance, I don't like ballparks I went to Wrigley once watched the entire show on the jumbo screen didn't like it) if you can't afford to travel far like I cannot, if you can't afford the tickets Don't go. Some of these bands are now $600+/ticket and fluctuat during the sale usually up if, (it's all about centeredness and sight lines, 2 rows over or a few a few rows back or forth can be a $200 difference) demand is high. I think PJ tickets are pretty much uniform throughout the venue right? Worst seat and the best seat are the same price I think.
I certainly can't afford a $1,200/ 2 tickets, + Room & Board + spirits, + travel perhaps, holyshit no way, so I don't go to a lot of bands that I would love to see.
If they play Europe only, or Japan or Australia or places that I cannot pronounce, I guess I won't be going. If they announce a 3 ciy ballpark stadium tour again I won't be going. I don't do ball parks anymore.
I guess when the tour bus, and 5 semi truck loads say your name on it you can do whatever you want with your band.
If they decide to play Arenas and amphitheaters again I'll be there.
Throw us old dogs a damn bone, we'd love to see you!!!
Cheers Pearl Jam!Post edited by RYME on0 -

Definitely if August falls in the fall next yearor during the election
Let's hope they realize the obstructed view dilapidated stadium shows allure has long waned.
If they are allocating around 14 shows for the entire continent and that includes a few festivals heres hoping Chicago and Boston already have received full allotment in 2018.0 -

Was fortunate enough to make Rome in 2018 with the family (based our vacation around it) and Wrigley. So I'm spoiled more than most. Was in europe last year again for vacation as my wife had work over there for months anyhow. Was hoping to swing it this year to see a show or 2...but not going to be able ot make it work. My daughter (12) has been asking me since Rome to take her to another Pearl Jam show...maybe this fall? I sure hope so before she loses interest
So much entitlement on the forum for sure...Not sure where your negativity and your specific attacks on a 12 year old you don’t know are coming from.hippiemom = goodness0 -

New album perhaps to coincide after or before euro dates, then a full fledged NA tour!"This melody, inside of me, still searches for a solution."0

No new album and small US tour of 10-12 shows before the election. Full NA new album tour 2021.0

Would love a new album tour but focus is all on US tour. I just want to see them live in the US.
With the Euro dates confirmed and most being arena shows, hopefully that's good news for an arena tour in US, maybe with a few stadiums mixed in. Dimi was right on with the Europe rumors so I'm fine with waiting. January announcement wouldn't be a surprise but the 2013 Fall tour was announced and sold in July.Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24 - Hollywood FL I 4/24/25 - Hollywood FL II 4/26/250 -

Just kind of not sure they turn around and do Wrigley when the Euro tour ends July 22
