Doesn't it make more sense, logistically, to play SD after Phoenix...then move north to LA?
It is if you're moving trucks full of gear...
375 miles PHX to Los Angeles 360 miles PHX to SD
Exactly.. why backtrack?
Last time around it was OKC > Phoenix > SD > LA > OAK
Doesn't matter if there are any shows in Seattle on 1st leg or not. Those trucks will head home with the gear.. So logistically, I'd play SD then head north to LA > OAK...etc..

The European tour isn’t exactly the shortest distance between points. Lots of all over the place.

The more you save of transportation cost the more profitable the tour..

big fat...DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH but a tour like this isn't gonna nickel and dime over 120 road miles
Friday and Saturday shows at The Forum probably guarantees two sellouts including the seats behind the stage than Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday shows. Remember the Sunday show at the Sports Arena back in 2013 wasn't a complete sellout. They opened up the seats behind the stage for both shows, but that Sunday show looked pretty open behind the stage if I recall correctly. So 4/8 Phoenix-->4/10 LA-->4/11 LA-->4/13 SD probably makes most sense money/ticket sales wise even if it means adding 120 miles to the truck routing.

That's what I've been saying all along....LA 4/10 and 11...then SD
When I was waiting for my night bus in Berlin to get back to Prague last year a women was naked from the bottom down 5 feet away from me. She took a squat right there and started to piss. I had to jump out of the way or I would have got some splash back on my shoes.
I love this thread.
Man, I came to check things out while going to fridge for a beer. This shit is great today! Go Tigers!
Just boredom until the big announcement forthcoming, Anyone want to start a poll when it happens?
Where do yall think the la shows will be? Could be staples center or the forum.

To markpjfan, which dates is staples booked for basketball shows if I may ask. I see staples open 10th April, and then open from 15th on, from what I saw

It’s booked 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15. So it’s only available 9 and 11.

Jan 2? Jan 6?
I’m hoping for sooner rather than later. But with them not being back from holiday until the 2nd, that seems like a stretch, no?
2016: Toronto I, Chicago I + II 2018: Seattle I + II, Chicago I + II 2020: Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec, Hamilton, Nashville, St. Louis, Krakow, Budapest, Zurich

January 6th. Although if I was betting against 100 to 1 odds, I'd go with an automated announcement this Monday...ticket drawing on Friday January 3rd. (That's a monopoly money bet), but if it does happen...first $100 worth of beers in Nashville on me.

Staples is pathetic for shows....The Forum rocks, all the staff there is so great. It's small, great sound. Just a so-so area to stay....everyone book on Century Blvd now.
and the exit after the show it's very quick at the forum. But the area, Inglewood, it's not very safe (I remember after the U2's show 2 years ago, police stop the crowd because gunshot...).

I prefer PJ play at anaheim or staples center
Staples? Not gonna happen. I love the Forum. I of course would prefer a show at Honda Center too as that's easy for me, a place I know well. It's mostly residential around the Forum, just don't wander around by yourself at 2 am. I have no problem with it (and I'm female)

Is this some kind of alternate reality where PJ should be worried about a sellout? Where there are three arena euro shows right now with tickets available for face value?
If they want guaranteed sellouts they could have just done all 45 shows this year in the 4th largest city in America which happens to be right next door to the largest city in America,

Last night a woman with her pants around her knees walked up to my (moving) car in the middle of the street, demanded I give her a dollar or give her back her daughter and began punching my vehicle with her bare fists.
This kind of stuff happens in Toronto all the time. No one should come here to see Pearl Jam.
