I'm going to find a tall building to jump off of.  That makes as much sense as this thread.
Everyone understands what you’re saying, but we all also understand that is not how this has ever worked. Coming to the thread and whining about it makes about as much sense too. You’re free to see yourself out, or cool your jets and we’ll have the announcement soon enough.
Not really whining....just pointing out how illogical it all is.  You are all adults for christsakes
You not understanding something does not make it illogical.
I understand that it is illogical.

  • For those thinking about St. Louis. The Cards opening weekend is the same weekend as the possible 4/4 show. Hotels will be selling out so it's worth snagging refundable rooms right now especially if it's a Saturday 4/4 show and everyone from the Midwest coming into town for the show.
    Agreed

Drury Inn at Union is 1/2 a mile from the arena. I booked that already. If anyone is interested, promo code SMILE gets you a discount on the room rate.

Honestly, I'm surprised it took so long for the "Dimi should post everything he knows" post. It happens every time the rumors really start heating up. People talk about odds and booking hotels and other people freak out from the FOMO. Death, taxes, and bitching about Dimi not posting a tour list.
LOL....I'm glad I kept the pattern in tact

Lol I highly doubt this list...I don't think Dimis really been wrong so pretty sure the tour is happening in spring, you're really digging though, you can tell this is really tearing you apart Dimi not posting a full list of shows. Love to see the Pearl Jam obsession and love in you though...but I'd probably keep searching for a new list

Amazing that he gets questioned every time.
He could very easily say nothing (and to those asking why he doesn't just post the full itinerary, its A. Things are subject to change until official and 2. He would likely lose out on his source(s) if he did), but chooses to help folks start the planning process, provide a little optimism and have a little fun. Yet always some who criticize.

we should spend less time worrying about ticket odds and start trying to get a total number of shows out of dimi.  We know about when it starts and about when it ends, a total number could really help us fill in the gaps

Just to clarify....I'm not "questioning" Dimi.  I have no reason to doubt his info. My point was just tell us the list rather than making it a scavenger hunt.

And yes things are subject to change.  That's why you could post a list and say "these are subject to change".

And again...why would the source be ok with the same exact info being given out in a cryptic format vs a straightforward list?

I m just glad that we get some sort of heads up.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......
  • two things..
first ,im alot of years here and i know Gern Blansten is a great legit guy and not a whinning asshole.
    second.i understand the logic,,but for me logic or not.im not posting any list,of dates,venues,cities etc..not a chance.,forget it.
if u can have some fun along with all this and same time get some legit infos to plan and be happy that something is happening for real. and not i heard from a guy and someone told me.,its all good.
if not,,wait for the 10c email..i cant help more than that..
lets focus on the tour, thats the important,,what me or anyone else saying or what me or anyone else thinks means nothing .the only thing i dont care or have time in interent is to fight or argue..
we have better things to do..and from the plan for 2020 the band as well!

For sure considering you went and found a tour list someone posted to mock it. Dimi owes us nothing. He could just take the info he gets book off his time, plan his trips and shows and tell us nothing....I think his hints and alot better then having nothing and being left in the dark waiting for a announcement. We should all just be happy with what we get from Dimi.

first ,im alot of years here and i know Gern Blansten is a great legit guy and not a whinning asshole.
    second.i understand the logic,,but for me logic or not.im not posting any list,of dates,venues,cities etc..not a chance.,forget it.
if u can have some fun along with all this and same time get some legit infos to plan and be happy that something is happening for real. and not i heard from a guy and someone told me.,its all good.
if not,,wait for the 10c email..i cant help more than that..
lets focus on the tour, thats the important,,what me or anyone else saying or what me or anyone else thinks means nothing .the only thing i dont care or have time in interent is to fight or argue..
we have better things to do..and from the plan for 2020 the band as well!
    Thanks man

Just to clarify....I'm not "questioning" Dimi.  I have no reason to doubt his info. My point was just tell us the list rather than making it a scavenger hunt.

And yes things are subject to change.  That's why you could post a list and say "these are subject to change".

And again...why would the source be ok with the same exact info being given out in a cryptic format vs a straightforward list?
I guess I'd pose the same type of hypothetical to you - why risk us not getting this info because you don't like the way it's delivered? Dimi has his reasons - either as a game, or because that's what his sources find acceptable. Why do you care so much as to risk offending him?

    Dimi: tour coming, save money

Tour comes, Dimis info 100% correct

    Yep
Amazing that he gets questioned every time.
He could very easily say nothing (and to those asking why he doesn't just post the full itinerary, its A. Things are subject to change until official and 2. He would likely lose out on his source(s) if he did), but chooses to help folks start the planning process, provide a little optimism and have a little fun. Yet always some who criticize.

Fairly simple. Official announcement of dates and venues is to come from the band and/or promoter. All those who are privy to that info ahead of time (crew etc.) are contractually bound not to publicly divulge info. So Dimi (or anyone else with some info) providing hints to the info he's been given doesn't steal the thunder of the actual announcement and doesn't get anyone in trouble for leaking the official info early.
Not that tough a concept to grasp.

I get what you're saying but do you not know how much of a brat you sound like? I picture and folding your arms and stomping your feet "I want the information and I want it now"
Actually I don't want the info.  I'm fine waiting for the official release.  My point is strictly related to if a list is going to be released then release it rather than dropping hints.  And again....not a knock on Dimi.  He's the goddamn man.  He has posted his reason and I understand it and respect it.

You must have missed my threat to jump off a building.  It got much worse than stomping my feet.

I get it but he's never posted a full list before. You should know what to expect so why come on this thread and bash the way things have been done for years...seems illogical and pointless

Any word on whether Mike McCready will be melting some snow in Minnesota this spring?
Every MN question in this thread has been ignored. I have to wonder if that means Target Field late summer?
