Everyone better get used to the idea of Bernie Sanders as the democratic nominee. Its looking very likely. All the belly aching isn't going to change it.

Unless of course your want another 4 years of Trump, if so, carry on.
We’re getting 4 more years of Team Trump Treason, with or without Bernie. With because indies and blue dog dems ain’t voting for a socialist, whether they understand the difference between democratic socialist and socialist(ism), or not and without because if the party nominee isn’t Bernie, the Berniebrosises will stay home and pout out of spite. Relying on the “young” to carry the day is a fool’s errand.
So, if someone refuses to support a candidate other than Sanders they're pouting? If they refuse to support Sanders....they're what?
I'd support any Democratic candidate except for Sanders.  If he wins I won't pout I just won't vote for him.
    Ridiculous
Trump is a complete piece of shit but ya know what, him being a piece of shit has absolutely no bearing on my day to day life.  If bernie gets elected and passes all his progressive ideas how much will my taxes go up?  Will I still be able to afford my home?

Honestly, McG, I would worry about that.  No way would Bernie get his most progressive ideas past congress.  I think it's more about what you would not get with Bernie in the White House than you with with Trump.

With Bernie you would not get:

-A wall that does little besides eat up a lot of money and disrupt migratory patterns of wildlife.
    -The dismantling of environmental protections.
-Corporate welfare (it would still exist, but not the the obscene degree it does today).
-Military actions carried out by an irrational man without consent of congress.
-A perverted president who brags about grabbing pussy.

And I think you would find Bernie more helpful to teachers than Trump does.  Trump cares little about education.
Again Bernie gets in and passes free healthcare or free higher education....how much are my taxes going up?  Will I able to afford my home?  I think those are pretty legit questions to ask yourself before supporting a candidate.

Someone posted it would be 4% of your income, but would replace premiums, deductibles co payments and out of network costs. What’s not known if the law would include a mechanism to compensate workers for losing their fringe benefit. That’s classic careless Bernie and he is playing with fire. But it’s likely not getting passed by congress without an option for private coverage

    But the much bigger deal...

if trump wins there is a good chance preexisting conditions are back and although I’m guessing you are in a union in NJ or protected by that state or your school district, but it’s possible you get sick, lose your job, can’t pay medical bills and go bankrupt. And what would be left in someone’s wake if that illness were to be terminal is horrifying.

its still extremely dangerous if trump gets a second term to millions of upper middle and middle class Americans if not you specifically.

Interesting -- thanks, EddieC. I just went to the site and learned my annual disposable income would go DOWN under Sanders's tax plan -- just what I predicted.

How do norweigans, swedes, finns and danes survive in (more) humane working and less egodriven selfish societies?

    they have homes. i think.

And you do know you guys pay ALOT MORE for healthcare. so do some math that is not given from fox news.

It’s actually a fringe benefit to enough voters that taking it away is a losing argument And will be perceived as a lie by enough voters.

The problem with Bernie supporters is they are talking to a euro electorate or an American one that might exist in 2050. Gambling on m4a now gets us a 7-2 court and all of bernies dream becomes impossible for 40 years. Why do you continually not acknowledge this?

get trump re-elected and we will also have preexisting conditions back and we’ll be looking down a smoking barrel of potential bankruptcy if any of us fall ill . Even upper middle class voters. thanks sc.

A federal judge ruled but the appeal was dropped and the decision was actually sent back for admin review.  Because Bloomberg decided to stop changing the law to add new terms to his administration the case was dropped. Had he went for a fourth term, do you really believe the USSC would overturn Henry? That’s the historical decision letting cops sidestep the fourth amendment. That decision is still valid.

and it was funny, not sure who but someone claimed I was to the right of the national review. Which is kinda silly as they are libertarians who are not technically right or left (That would be a long and boring analysis). Long story short, 4a is  sacrosanct to libertarians, not conservatives imo.

What? Libertarians are on the right.

You should have stuck with the racism accusations.

as I said this would be long and boring dude-

Libertarianism (from Latinlibertas, meaning "freedom"), or libertarism (from Frenchlibertaire, meaning "libertarian"), is a collection of political philosophiesand movements that uphold liberty as a core principle.[1] Libertarians seek to maximize political freedom and autonomy, emphasizing freedom of choicevoluntary association and individual judgement.[2] Libertarians share a skepticism of authority and state power, but they diverge on the scope of their opposition to existing economic and political systems. Various schools of libertarian thought offer a range of views regarding the legitimate functions of state and private power, often calling for the restriction or dissolution of coercive social institutions. Different categorizations have been used to distinguish various forms of libertarianism.[3][4] This is done to distinguish libertarian views on the nature of property and capital, usually along left–right or socialist–capitalist lines.[5]

Libertarianism originated as a form of left-wing politics such as anti-authoritarian and anti-state socialists like anarchists,[6] especially social anarchists,[7] but more generally libertarian communists/Marxists and libertarian socialists.[8][9] These libertarians seek to abolish capitalism and private ownership of the means of production, or else to restrict their purview or effects to usufruct property norms, in favor of common or cooperative ownership and management, viewing private property as a barrier to freedom and liberty.

All of the above. JK. If I’m replying to you I think you’re SC. I try to go with USSC or simply the court (singular) for that reference. I’d rarely mention South Carolina, except for this week of course ;-)

but hey, thanks for working on bringing back our preexisting conditions  nightmare.

You know that radical politics (and literature) is my area of expertise, right? As in, that’s the topic on which I publish in scholarly journals.                                                  .

Yikes.  Bernie’s plan would suck for me.  I would be happy though if the money went to protect the environment and make healthcare cheaper and easier to access for all.

You can go to Bernie's website and put in your family income and health care costs to see how his policies would personally affect you if his plans were put into place.

Interesting -- thanks, EddieC. I just went to the site and learned my annual disposable income would go DOWN under Sanders's tax plan -- just what I predicted.
I lose around 5k with his plan.   Sounds like a guy I should vote for lol.

If you were a lower income person and voted for Trump you'd get scolded for stupidly voting against your interests. Since you're considering voting for Trump and in your interest, you're scolded for being a heartless monster. It's futile to even engage.

This is hyperbole, is it not?  No one here has called McG or you a "heartless monster".  if you are going to make up things that have not been said then, yes, the discussion if futile.
He was told that his vote was representative of "why the US can't reach the baseline of a humane society." I am not being hyperbolic.

Yeah it was like $6k for me based on some average spending. But in reality, it’s a little more since I didn’t spend that much.
How do you go about calculating what you’d lose under his plan? I’d like to figure that out.

This is hyperbole, is it not?  No one here has called McG or you a "heartless monster".  if you are going to make up things that have not been said then, yes, the discussion if futile.
He was told that his vote was representative of "why the US can't reach the baseline of a humane society." I am not being hyperbolic.
    Where’s the lie?
Correct me if I am wrong but didn’t you say you don’t vote?

Generally, no. But I always remain open to exceptions.

You can go to Bernie's website and put in your family income and health care costs to see how his policies would personally affect you if his plans were put into place.

Interesting -- thanks, EddieC. I just went to the site and learned my annual disposable income would go DOWN under Sanders's tax plan -- just what I predicted.
I lose around 5k with his plan.   Sounds like a guy I should vote for lol.

What if it meant reducing the cost of college for your kids? That costs a lot more than 5k.
    Show me some numbers.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......
