Wow some of you really need to learn to be patient.  Buying it right now through a third party is probably the worst thing you could do right now.  You are rewarding the flippers so many complain about and are paying the highest prices it will be.  All the stores will post leftovers tomorrow and if that doesn’t work through it in a Discogs want list and periodically check it you’ll find a good price because there is 14,000 or whatever if these things.

ive completely bailed on doing any form of day of record store day shopping and probably have never paid over $10 retail and gotten most way cheaper just by waiting it out

Easy Street Records received over a dozen boxes of PJ vinyl. Newbury Comics & Bull Moose must of received alot too.

A variant 10club edition would be sweet to see. Can't remember if they mentioned that Easy Street Records 10club Edition coming out day's before or after the April RSD official street date.

I seem to remember the Easy Street vinyl being "RSD release" or "RSD first."

I remember 10C saying they wouldn't have this one and it being "RSD exclusive."
Pearl Jam's social media today said, "Available today only"
Doesn't get much clearer than that.

something's odd. PJ said there 13000 copies. I spoke to 3 record store owners and they said it is 1500?. WTF? Fuck it. I'm stil;l huntin' for the reel to reel
Not a chance it’s anywhere near 1500. Plaid Room Records has been counting down from 80-something. My shop (Park Ave CDs in Orlando) must’ve had at least 40. At a total of 1500, that’s nearly 10% of the global supply, between 2 shops. Never mind the boxes and boxes that Easy St had. I’ve read reports of some distribution issues delaying shipments. My guess is there will be a bunch of these available online after the blackout period... or, worst case scenario, you’ll pay a very small markup to buy from a reseller. Don’t pay high markup now.

It was 13,000.  Plaid Records had 100 something this morning.

I went back to my shop tonight to check for you guys.  Owner said “man i should've ordered 100 of those PJ ones.  I had the chance too.  I misjudged.”  While i was there two more people came in and asked about it.

I guess the store must not have followed the 1 per customer rule. Someone must have just came in and scooped up all the rest.

I called. They said it's sold out.
The remaining RSD titles for sale tomorrow are shown on their site.
  • None to be had in Kelowna BC. Congrats to all the lucky ones who scored one, would've loved to add this one to the collection. I remember when this show first aired on Much Music up here in Canada eh. I remember frantically trying to get a tape in the vcr, and hitting the record button. I don't know if I watched anything else for the next week or two. This show was always almost as much about the visual experience for me. I think that's why I'm not super bummed. I can plug that dvd in that replaced that worn out vhs and blammo!

If anyone is still looking, they're showing 21 copies of Live Frogs and a metric shit ton of Phish
  • Counted over 100 copies on eBay. Actually it’s way more I just stopped counting. Glad all the fans got them.

Just realized this came with an mp3 download of the album.
  • This is going to be so widely available. Those flippers are going to be selling these for a loss. Please stop panicking.

It’s going to drop but I’m not sure how much. I think people are underestimating the demand from non-PJ fans.

It makes me chuckle when people carry on like flippers are some shadowy entity. Wanna yell at one? They'll all be at the next pre-party.

Anyhow, it's encouraging that so many are on the Bay. Nowhere for the price to go but down. If they were sold out everywhere and only 4 were listed, then there would really be trouble.

I doubt these will sell for a loss. The price probably won't go too much higher than cost, though. 13000 is not a lot when covering all countries.

This whole record store day thing is so fucking stupid.  The only people who really benefit are flippers who don’t give one shit about fans.   If this was released on a random Friday, the people that actually want to listen to this would be the ones who picked it up.

It is stupid. I just wanna listen to the fucking show on vinyl. It’s super annoying to hit three different stores and all sold out.

Well i think RSD is a positive thing when you see the foot traffic coming into these small shops.
The advantage of RSD is afterwards when you see people grabbing more stuff out of the normal bins before they check out. Thats when it really helps the shops out.  Or when they make a few new regular customers.  You need hype to draw them in.

For PJ Unplugged, it would've been insanity had they only done the normal 5000 pressed that everyone else does.  13k was very generous if the goal was to release this only on RSD.  I think today proved tho that even casual fans were going nuts for this.  Could have been a normal Target/Amazon/record store release.
