Maybe someone can answer this for me:  Cheese is leading the poll so far-  almost everybody loves cheese.  If cheese is so good, why is "cheesy" used to describe things that are "cheap, unpleasant, or blatantly inauthentic"?
They are referring to the oily government fee cheese they used to hand out to welfare recipients.

It was great for grilled cheeses though...

It was crumbly, but it did okay.  We also got butter, cornmeal (a bag bugged out on us once) and maybe something else that I cannot recall.  I remember going to get it.

    Cheese
was that the same cheese (gubument cheese) that they used for school lunches?  If so, yes, it made a tremendous grilled cheese

    Powdered milk too.

It was awful in cereal.  I was happy to eat a school breakfast rather than powdered milk.  It was that bad to me.

Fast forward a few years and I'm working in Alaska and they have powdered milk because we ran out of real milk...  I didn't have a bowl of cereal until we restocked in port.  I hated powder milk that much.

    That was it!

Mom refused to make us drink powdered milk. She would make pudding with it. (A rare treat.)

Before I answer, what would the environment be like in this “utopian voyueristic gastronomical science project” of yours?

Would I be naked and cold in a 12-foot-deep hole in your basement, while you spend days designing a skin suit?

@HesCalledDyer and I have been forced to bareknuckle brawl in our skivvies every hour on the hour to amuse her and her family. She's been feeding us nothing but cheese, and I'm about to paint the walls of our cell with asspiss.

Wait I should’ve picked one button lower.

Cheese and ice cream do create a need to unbutton.
Indeed.  When given the choice between ice cream and anything, my brain just defaults to ice cream.  It's my favorite food in the world.  I even named my wifi network "Ice Cream" and probably spent enough at the local shop to put the owners' kids through college. (Well, at least buy a couple textbooks.)
But if I give up cheese, that means I also have to give up pizza, tacos, burgers, steak subs, lasagna, macaroni, poutine, nachos, cheesecake, broccoli soup, just about every sandwich, etc.  So yeah...

Please do not make me choose.

Pizza would be a heavy loss!

So technically American Cheese is not cheese.

If you choose Ice Cream do you have the American Cheese option or are we talking full blown all cheese mentions?

I would also be sad because Mac n Cheese would disappear from my life...
