Meghan drains intelligence and life out of me.

Biden sounds like an "all words" kind of guy. A lot of talk about fluffy stuff - "this is what America is all about, this is our spirit - to say thank you to one another like we did back when I grew up in the 17th century".

But I guess we'll see. Wonder if he's aware that America does a few things backwards compared to e.g. Europe, like Bernie does.
Sanders is older than Biden. So did he grow up in the 16th century? The man is in his 70's, he thinks that this country has been pulled apart and we are at each other's throats. This is true. Why do you make fun of him for wanting comity in governing and healing in the country. Biden has his baggage, just like every other candidate, but making fun of him for wanting to heal the country and his age (when the other front runner and the President are both in their 70's also) just looks like nitpicking. I haven't seen you make fun of Sander's age. Gotta be consistent with the pros and cons.
Bernie sounds like a young hipster. I bet he's got some Post Malone on his Iphone X. Biden only listens to "the wind carrying the spirit of the country and soaring eagles in the great american sky. A sky like no other country has ever seen. Heil Hydra"

What's the difference between "heal the country" and "make america great again". When was it ever great? When was it ever healed?
You completely rewrote your response and I find what you wrote to not be worth answering. You are better than that.
    What?
You wrote one response and I answered it. Then I saw that you had added stuff about Bernie's cool iPhone and Biden having some ridiculous, based on I don't know what, listening device. It changed the entire tenor of your question.
I can't help that you quote me before I've had the chance to edit and add to my post...
That's not how message boards work. It's not a reader's responsibility to question whether you've had ample time to sanitize the words you say.

You'll see plenty of examples where I backtracked something I said, and I do so by adding a big "EDIT: .....", and leaving my original shitty messages fully visible. The words you put on here (or anywhere publicly frankly), you have to own them as they were originally read, as they were originally stated by you.
It's not your role to dictate how other people edit their posts. I think this "you must leave your original statements as they were" idea is completely unreasonable. We can edit our posts anyway we want to. I personally edit my posts all the time because I decided I wanted to add ideas or be more specific than I was the first time around, and like it that way! (I just did it with this very post! Ha!). I do not expect people to wait for me to have time to do so though - if someone replies to the original before I posted an edit, I usually mention to them that I actually updated the post they quoted, in case they're interested in readdressing the edited version.
I fully expected you to enter a discussion about editing posts ;)

Who the hell would use "EDIT:" to add some jokey text.

EDIT: Oh wait, I came up with something funny. So after you've read my post above and come all the way down here. You can now read the joke out of context. But if you wish, you can copy it, and paste it into Word where it is suppose to belong in the original text that's written about this "EDIT:"-part. And get the context.

    Thank you.
I answered your main question of the difference between healing the country and MAGA but you were busy adding stuff so you never responded.

I think that when someone asks a question, they want an answer. Obviously you cared more about making Bernie cool and Biden insane. So the main point is lost.

But you're the millennial so I'm obviously incapable of properly understanding a messageboard.

    EDIT - Just in case

Just an idea - the Preview button is an awesome tool to see if you like how your answer looks before you post - this way people don't respond to something that you really didn't mean to post. But to each their own.

You built up a narrative about me "completely rewriting" my post which I find a lot more important to take time to rebute. As it is an attack on my character. And what have I on this board but my character?

EDIT: Added joke: "It's not like I'm in the Bennaroya Hall-vinyl club"

Your character is intact. Didn't mean to make you feel attacked. Bernie's character, however, is questionable.

I didn't say anything about what people should write, nor did I claim to tell people how to do anything - in fact I said the exact opposite: post whatever you want, but be aware that if someone reads it before you edit it, that's not their fault - it's yours, and regardless of what you choose to do with it (edit it, erase it, etc.), your original position is out there and should be owned by you. I stand by that.

In terms of adding "EDIT", that's my approach, you guys do whatever you'd like!

EDIT: Feel free to heckle away, any preachiness I exhibited before was not intentional but I can laugh at myself (and the responses above did make me laugh by the way!)

I'm the same way. I'm always editing for grammar, context, better way of saying, realizing something sounds snide. I'll post something new if I have a whole new position.

    Why?
I'm all for the P or VP being the right person, regardless of gender...but why would a male P need to choose a female running mate?

The point is that there is no way in hell that they can't find "the right person" in a woman, considering how underrepresented women are by government (and considering that a woman has never held either of the two spots in the history of the nation), combined with the number of amazing women there are to choose from. There is no way in hell that a male running mate would be best over a great woman. Well, the right person for POTUS is a woman too, but America is still too sexist for that probably.
Bullshit... America is too sexist for a woman Potus? Typical horseshit broad stereotyping of Americans on the AMT...

You forgot a woman just got 3 million more votes than her opponent in a national election?

Guess what, we aslo voted for a black man, twice!
HA!! Yeah, against a guy who said grab her by the pussy???? That does say a LOT about how people feel about voting for a female POTUS: that they aren't willing to. I think it is the height of naivety to think that Trump winning didn't have something to do with sexism. To me that is crazy talk. Pure denial. YES, America is too sexist to elect a female, and the polls compared to the quality of the dem candidates right now help prove it.
interesting point of view. especially given the population is slight majority women.
yes i'm sure some sexism plays a part but i am still completely baffled by women who voted for  Trump. I know many education and intelligent women who admit to voting for the guy.  I honestly can't fathom how any woman could have voted for the guy over Hillary.

and to be honest in this election cycle I'm not necessarily interested in voting for the best Dem candidate. I'm interested in voting for the DEM candidate who has the best chance to beat Trump.  I almost don't care about their policies this cycle. It's  ONLY about getting this guy out of office ASAP.  I'll deal with any policy consequences after the fact.
isnt that where we are with Trump?

yeah Electoral College.  But 60 million people were "I dont care who it is, as long as it isnt Hillary."

I voted for Hillary in the Virginia primary and advocated for her tirelessly on this site.  That included many verbal throw downs against the Bernie fans here.   I won't vote for Warren because of her policies.  Do you think im sexist? Do you think im the only white male like that?

I'm certainly not saying there isnt sexism.  There is.  But that doesn't make Warren's numbers the product of sexism.  Hillary's candidacy success proves that.

I personally think you all should be banned for improper use of an edit feature. It’s clearly only for spelling and grammar.

then you can start calling this place the cincy chamber? LOL
It’ll be an amazing place of peace and joy.

I did.  If the only argument is that women are judged by a different standard,  then I agree.  But women are just as judgmental on that same physical standard as men are.

I'm reading all of these articles with the subtle context that any man that doesn't vie for a woman has some embedded sexist reason.  Maybe im reading too much into it.
