Everyone give a read so we can discuss what she said.
If you're talking about the last line. It's already been pounced upon and widely taken out of context by both social and mainstream media to keep driving in that wedge.
Just the facts: She was referring to the disembodied voice that belonged to the officer, not the officer himself.

But who's going to click on/be outraged by that?
It has? Did she say that because it is worthy of discussion and if I am persuaded by something else she mentions then I'll move on.

Yeah. She did not know who the person was
People are really outraged by this?
People who fall into these traps set by the likes of Fortune magazine et al. certainly are.
The only reason any media outlet could possibly have to post that quote out of context is to continue to reap the rewards that they gain from sowing seeds of disinformation and division.

That is EXACTLY what I got out of it, not going to lie.
EDIT: I thought it was odd that a link to the video wasn't on the article. Knee jerk reaction from me.. It was written great, irked the shit out of me!

If only there were a video of her recounting this day in her own words so that we could have some context here.

But I wouldn't wish that fear on her. She knows she's a lightning rod. She loves it. It's part of her brand. But in that moment she was just a US representative that we as a nation failed. No matter who was in there, they should never be too scared to open their office doors. That is just crazy.
Trump, Cruz, Gaetz, that awful Q-loving manlady....all responsible for that day, those actions, that fear, and the deaths. Including a police officer. Blue lives matter my ass. Just another bunch of fucking hypocrites.
Now that's how you lead in a crisis. Maybe sometimes her message doesn't come across correctly all the time but I think her heart is generally to do what is the right thing. I applaud her efforts to help Texas.
Are you telling me that AOC has done more for Texas than Ted?
But I was told nothing could be done? I'm shocked.
Seems Ted couldn't figger it out because he's a degen and spare parts, to used to chirpin' and not chorsin', going 10 ply. He prolly ought to take 20% off and that's a Texas-sized 10-4.

To be Faaaaaaaaaaaaair. Ted was 10ply from the start. Allowing Trump to insult his wife and then roll over for him. I suggest you let that one marinate.

Sounds like he was Shoresied and should give his balls a tug.
What else do you do with unaccompanied children that cross the border? The problem with the trump admin is that they deliberately separated children from parents as a disincentive to crossing. It was a punitive action. I don't see where she offers a solution for this immediate problem, rather says we need comprehensive reform and to disband INS. While that might be worthy z it isn't addressing an imminent and immediate problem.

You forgot, “during a pandemic” between “border” and “?.” Let’s just pack ‘em in. That’ll learn ‘em.

The options are: 1. House them 2. Send them back over the border 3. Release children into the US without supervision It seems to me that option 1 is the most humane, so long as you house them humanely.
