What they really need to do is fix the lines once you get inside the tent. I hate having to choose another and risk getting stuck behind some ass who wants to see each shirt and try on each size. Everyone should stay in one line and wait for a spot to open up.
This so hard. I got stuck behind this chick at Wrigley 16. Watched all my friends get their stuff and leave and the Klausen poster disappear(one of the only two I wanted.) It took dumbass 45 mins to try everything on, only to decide she didn't want anything after all. It was so bad I had people in other lines offer to let me cut in, but i didn't because i didn't want to be that person and I honestly couldn't conceive that it was really going to take that long.
Anything you lose from being honest You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
I would feel AWFUL if I made the person behind me wait for even 5 mins with my order. Some of these stories are absolutely ridiculous. 40 mins to “assemble” an order???
I wonder if a few 15 item or less lines would be beneficial. It could hurt sales I guess if people want to buy 20 items but buy only 15 to wait less.
Or instead of putting a limited per item just say 10 items max per person
I'm just hoping I can grab a shirt and maybe a hat once inside night 1 at Wrigley before we settle into our seats. I'm counting on at least one poster being available on the site after the show. No way I am standing in a merch line for 5+ hours.
To anyone who bought the Faile poster... on the back did it have a sticker in the bottom right corner saying Official Pearl Jam Event Poster, with a caption in the middle, Say No to Flippers?
Thanks. I was just curious, because I have seen some Home Show posters on ebay without that sticker. My recent show posters have that sticker so I was assuming they must be fakes.

For Fenway the very open of day 1 was the peak wait. If you were there a day or two before the shows and went a little later you could be in and out in 30 minutes. Keep an eye on Seattle to gauge things but 2016 was not bad at all.

Yeah, we went the day between the shows, between 11 and 12. Hit one stand, didn't have the shirt I liked in my size, went to the next stand, got what we wanted, and were done in about an hour.
"I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the [shows I've done]. Some folks just have one, others they got none..."
I think I waited maybe 10 mins on the off day between the Fenway shows at one of the locations. They also had lots of stuff inside (minus The Catch poster).

A 10C ticket lottery winner bundle would be best IMO. ya win the lottery you get to buy the unique show shirt and poster only. works better for a full tour rather than the stadium shows but still would help. my guess is some people would still line up and flip but at least you can get those items easier if you choose to. I bet we are all willing to pay a little extra for this type of option too.
But then you'd get flippers willing to forfeit the cost of one ticket in order to makeup their loss by transfer /selling the other ticket and flipping the pre sale merch. Nothing will work until everything is mass produced to take away the limited nature of the items.
Hey I’m just trying to think of a way that people who want that can get it problem free. Of course there will be issues but at least a good group of fans will get takin care of
So, you solve a problem for a select group of fans, while possibly making it worse for others, while completely ignoring that this "Gotta have it!" attitude is what enables flippers (and general craziness) in the first place. I don't know how to fix that, but making some merch MORE exclusive is not the answer.

More about people waiting 45 minutes to an hour for one person to buy everything as well attempting to make it a little more difficult for the flippers.
Ultimately I will always believe a bundle for people who won ten club tix would be best

I’ve been around this band for awhile and have traveled to see them since ‘94. I pick cities I want to go to, enjoy my time there and go see my favorite band. Didn’t line up in ‘03 when there were “blocks”, don’t line up for GA, and sure as fuck won’t line up for merch. I go for the music. The most disheartening thing about this band right now is the fans. All the craziness with merch, the rail, etc...
It really has become quite the circus, hasn't it?
Agree with all of this.
"What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."
Side note: the person next to me in line got turned away for a Faile poster because they were out at the time. The lines inside hadn’t been opened 15 minutes. They were all being restocked as they went, but he didn’t get a Faile because it was out at the time.
This is a problem and really shitty. When I was waiting for merch in Boston in 2016 the same thing happened with The Catch. They sold out about 20 people ahead of me and then by the time I got up they had restocked.
If they know they have more coming they should accommodate people who have waited hours and don’t get what they want simply because of bad timing.

This is another reason I am not waiting in line. Too many uncertainties. I would love to have two BK posters -- one for myself and one for the fund raiser/contest we are in (I committed to providing a poster from Seattle to the pool) but I cannot abide standing in line for a long time and having something like this happen. I would, foolishly, let that rain on my parade. F it. I am there to enjoy the people, the place, and the band...if I get lucky and someone grabs 1 for me, great. Otherwise I will overpay after for the 1 that I committed to providing and somewhere down the road will hunt/trade for 1 for my own wall.
Just sell the darn things as options when we buy tickets! (Please)

That would make all other lines go much faster.

10C enjoys watching people’s time being waisted.
I’m so glad I have zero interest in any of these circus shows.
Anyone waiting in line today... how long are the wait times today? I'm looking at checking it out tomorrow if the lines aren't crazy long.
