Add Merch Bundle option when buying tickets - BEAT THE FLIPPERS!

Come on 10c! this is getting ridiculous. We are all fans and end up paying SO much for merch which we should, by all rights, as 10c paying members should have.

I think there should be an option to purchase a Merch Bundle when buying tickets - includes gig poster (obviously), stickers, pins and a T shirt.

At least this way you can guarantee that real fans get the merch they want and take it out the hands of the flippers.

Please at least consider it??  Or do we all need to start looking into this Bot software business just to get a show poster?

It just makes sense, and is fair, and good for the fans. I really don't see a negative!

Ive got a show coming up for the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and purchased the VIP bundle. Ticket, Autographed show poster and some other goodies included (meet/greet). Very happy to have that option.

This is a great idea because the majority of the flippers are not 10C mem...I can’t even say it with a straight face.

Maybe - but at least it gives a chance for real fans to secure their merch at the retail price and not have to resort to ebay

I think that I would categorize some 10c members are trade baiters, merch whores, merch junkies, rafflers, sticker freaks, and even... sock weirdos.  Flippers is little bit extreme...

They did do it once and it did not go well. When every poster was not an all time classic, people were not happy. See the spectrum posters. Guess 10c is damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Saw this on the other thread seems like a good idea to me

I know we all keep saying it but why doesn't the band just put the posters up for sale with a 3 day time limit like (a bit like Vault vinyl sales). That way, anyone that wants one gets one and anyone trying to flip will have nobody to sell to.

Makes ya wonder how much more money could be injected into the local businesses if the people who are normally waiting in the merch line for hours were able to spend the time visiting, sightseeing, eating, drinking etc. if they were to offer the pre purchase option.

This is still true @Santos L. Halper

"Sick of people paying child laborers to snatch up all of the posters while you were outside getting the most out of your bratwurst? Tired of paying good money for a cool poster before the show, carrying it around like a Faberge egg, only to have some over-served lout spill their beer all over it during the encore? Well, now you can kick back and relax. The Ten Club is happy to announce a concert poster pre-sale for those who have purchased tickets. Here's the deal:"

I am in agreement that this would be a great option. However I personally shy away from statements that include things like "which we should, by all rights, as 10c paying members should have." Technically the Band owes us nothing. We already get access to better seats (for the most part) than the general public, at a discounted price. Imagine all of this without Ten Club. Instead of talking about flippers we'd be grumbling to ourselves (After all there'd be no forum..) about scalpers.

Don't you think both the band and the artists that design the posters would be happier if people who were interested in getting posters didn't have to pay insane amounts of money to flippers? What the OP is talking about here is for the poster selling system to become more fair. For example, I try to buy every posters from the shows that I go to. Having the option to do that without queuing up for hours not even being sure that I'm going to get one (i.e., wasting my time if I don't get one) seems great for me. Queuing up for merch is different that queuing up for a good spot in the pit. If you queue up to get a good spot in the pit, then you're gonna get it. If you queue up for merch, there's a quite big chance that when you reach the stand you will realize that you had waited for nothing.

They could have a roll call for merch, just as they have for tickets. I would even pay a slightly higher yearly subscription to have this choice.

I know that it is unlikely to happen, but I support this.

I was thrilled in 2009 when I bought my posters in the pre-sale before the Chicago shows and was very happy when they arrived at my home address safe and sound.

    THIS.

I’d personally love to go back to pre orders, but that’s so I can explore the cities I visit. I have chosen merch lines over cities during day of show and I know that’s my choice alone, and the more places I visit, the more I decide to explore.

Give the option to buy at 10C ticket purchase and leave a small amount to be sold at show day of. There are so many pros to this. 10C gets more money, 10C needs less staff at the pre show merch trailer, people get to spend more time in the city they are traveling to, benefit the local economy, flippers have no consumer to sell to, and pre parties and fan social events would be better.

What is the drawback to doing this?

Are there any other bands with poster collectors as rabid as PJ/EV fans? By that, I mean are there other bands where fans buy any poster, and not just shows they attended?  Its rare I see any other posters sold out on artist sites except for the PJ/EV ones. Are these just more limited? Foo Fighters, 311, and QOTSA all seem to come out with cool posters too, but rarely do they sell out.
