Nice!  Fresh eggs are the best!

In 9th grade I raised a chicken.  We named it Max-a-Hundred.  Turned out it was a she so she became Maxine-a-Hundred.  She gave us good eggs!

  • Where in the world???
  • That photo gave me such a great giggle! The juxtaposition of the suburban landscape rocks it...we have a similar look only with deer that are common and highly appreciated by me...not so much with other town folk...they cherish their gardens and hence a lot of wire fencing interrupts the beauty of the terrain...

In Michigan. I’m basically 3 blocks from the biggest river in the state and it is actually  a little unusual to see these cranes walking around town, but you see them all over the rivers, wetland areas.
  • Fantastic!! I have not had the privilege of seeing such majestic birds in their natural or civilized environs...what a great rarity! Thanks for sharing!

On the river the other day  I saw a bald eagle battling three ospreys.
