I’m disappointed, this song is clipping pretty bad , they’ve joined the club with artists who over compress the track so it’s all distorted very disappointing
here's what happens to me when i hear new music from my fave's there are songs i love first listen and still love later just because i dont like a song upon first few spins means nothing later after 100 spins right now i'm not sure which songs i love more if it's the ones i love right away or the ones that take time but once they click the door is open. what i do find is that a lot of times it takes some for extra time for some stuff to click for me. riot act was like that for me. there are songs i have listened to 200 times and i still love them like it was the first spin all over again. i love that. and never do i count any song out until it has been personally realized in a live setting/show/concert
can't deny me is still in my first impressions stage and i still i dig it a lot. it's a little off normal which is what i love the best about it right now. perfect single to release imo
Was just on the bike at the gym when I heard an awfully familiar drum groove. Lo and behold, Can’t Deny Me! Was a pleasant surprise and the best minutes and forty-four seconds at the gym today.

I love the song. The intentional producing of Ed's voice is a great touch.
I love folks thinking he's not able to sing this song right or can't reach the notes. His vox are exactly what they intended them to sound like. They didn't just put out a bad take. Which, in my opinion, his vox make this song great.

I think you are correct to some extent, but Ed's range is nowhere near what it was years ago. While his voice isn't as rough as produced hear, it does crack and break far more frequently than it used to so part of the sound is a natural consequence of his new range and what he is now ok with it sounding like. This is why they keep stepping down songs live and why he goes low on almost every song part that is in that upper octave.

Sure, I totally agree with ya. Digging these studio captured cracks and breaks!
Anyone still listening to this? I honestly forgot about it for the past 2 weeks. Did not have the longevity it should for a lead single. It's coming off more as an annual single. Played and then discarded a month later.

Currently #18 on the active rock chart and #28 on the alternative chart. Getting around 1500 spins a week from those two formats and about 150 from the AAA format

Yeah, caught the boot preview of it from Sao Paulo today and it sounds much better to my ears. Still not in the top tier of their catalog, but I enjoyed it much more.

Yeah I haven't put it on it in weeks.
Only time I hear it is when PJ Radio on Sirius plays it.
