    I let my membership lapse and rejoined 2004 apparently. Never used my membership number for anything ever. Dont seem to have the same problem getting tickets in Europe as members in the US.

    Hasn't changed a crazy amount in a while.

    I joined July 2016 and am at 658xxx.

    So we're getting, what, about 12k a year since then?

    It's not that surprising when you think about it, I guess. The longevity of the band means that the vast majority of interested people would already have been members.
