I registered in early 2014 and I’m a low 500s. I was a senior in high school and traveled to spakane with a classmate of mine from Alaska to see our first show. Better late than never I suppose!
  • Just reached out to 10c as I want to upgrade my membership to analog. I believe they said they're at 681xxx at the moment.

I'm older than you, so for my age I joined late too. What's important is you're here now. :)

I'd be interested to know how many "active" members there are. Like yeah they're giving out 681,XXX now but as members let their memberships lapse that drops the overall number.

I had my girlfriend join on the 7th and she was 676xxx, so 5k new members in the last 2-3 weeks...and probably at least half of those since Monday!

I think Jeff said on that podcast he was on recently that it was 60-70k...so if he's in tune with that sort of thing, there you go!

I joined after PJ20. Same month and year as you. Got 476. I bet post PJ20 was a nice spike. Seeing what I could have been a part of made me look it up. I had been on the early version of the website in 98 but never really thought of joining since shows were so far away to travel then.

141xxx joined in early 1996, one of my bigger regrets is not doing so much sooner, it literally made no sense I could not get my dumb ass to send in a SASE, a basic card, and like what was it $10? Maybe even $5 at one point.  Asshat younger self.

Yeah, one of my buddies was in back in 92 and I met him in 93.  He tried to get me to join but I said it was dumb.
If I could go back in time this is one of the many things I would do....

    Back to 92?
Force your father to quit smoking.  Still time to save him.
Convince someone to look very closely at all pilots on that day in September 2001.
Tell your sister not to marry that Tiger Woods-ish philandering piece of shit.  Fuck him to get your awesome kid and then tell him to scram.
Sign up for 10C right away, keep sending payments
Don't go to the Patriots/Dolphins game on January 2nd 1994.  Watch from home.  Trust me on this one.
Buy Apple stock.  Every time it looks like they are going out, buy as much as you can.  Tell your family to do the same.
Get in on the stupid IPO craze in the 90s
    Buy Amazon stock

    Don't change too much.

    Similar story here.
I should have joined in '96 when my cousin and friend did, but I was a stupid kid...I did at least join in early 2000 and I am sitting on a 204XXX number.
This has gotten me both amazing seats (row 20 in Cincy) and some crappy seats (back row in Indy), but every year I hope a few people let their's lapse and my chances of getting closer increases...

  • After years of procrastinating and not having the cash to spare (hey, $20 is a lot when you're living paycheque to paycheque in your 20s), I've got a pretty high number (521xxx). That said, I was more than happy with the seats I got for Fenway, and scored GA for Ottawa in 2016. I'm just happy to be in the building, and getting 10C tickets is way less stressful than hitting F5 100 times in a minute...

Here are night 1's seats from Fenway. I believe night 2 was slightly better for seating location.
