Hope so. But don't be surprised if they do 10 shows and call it a tour.
Got to be a huge year for them. Big east coast/west coast tour and new album. I will be shocked if this does not happen.
Depends... their tours aren't generally big, but if an album drops, I'd expect something bigger than last summers tour. Maybe a medium tour. 10 to 12 dates on each leg kind of thing. I'm not sure the band has big tours in them. I'd call big 25 shows on each leg, and a 3rd outside of north america. That's big by PJ's standards and hasn't been done for a while. Still kind of small when you think of their peers (Foo Fighters, Metallica, etc..) who seem to tour for years after a new album drops
Ya I should have clarified that I am talking Pearl Jam big and I think next years will compare to 2013. I personally would love to see 2016's tour for leg 1 and then a same size tour for the midwest/west coast a couple of months later so they can have a break though I know it is unlikely. I spring tour followed up by a late fall tour would work. All speculation of course but I really do not see these guys stalling out with a new album coming.

I thought this upcoming winter was going to see a down under tour followed by west coast then east.
But we are in August and with a 6 month advance notice for ticket on sale and or more lead time with rumors leaking...
It's starting to look quiet even for Jan + Feb 2020.
The October tour in 2013 was announced on July 8th, so it's getting late, but Nov/Dec is still possible. Yes, I know, I know, the band will never play again, but I was optimistic of a western U.S. tour in the winter, then Oz in Jan/Feb, then more U.S. in the spring.
Think we get any kind of tour or album announcement before the end of the year?
I'd still like to see something reminiscent of 2003. They start the year with going down under and an album release, then they can hit up USA (with maybe 2-3 Canadian shows) in April-August.
But let's be real....sarcasm alert...
7-12 Eddie solo shows in Europe, Ohana and 3-4 solo appearances at festivals in South America. Some new side project from Mike and some artsy thing from Jeff.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
I’ve accepted that there’s no USA shows until atleast spring 2020
but I will be even further shocked if we don’t get a AUS/NZ Jan/Feb tour announcement soon

You mean the 2013 AZ show? It was in the same announcement, July 8.
So, PJ posted the Toronto (I) 2016 setlist on their twitter feed today. Who’s reading a Canadian tour into that?

If Mcgruff has to back out from his assigned seat ticket due to prior classroom field trip obligations, I'll happily take his spot.
No way bud. You can wave to us from section 328.
Fuck I am itching for some shows.
This time last summer was so exciting.
Your damn right it was! I hope they knock the album out of the park and come out big in 2020. Looking back at 2013 though I was surprised how small both legs actually were. It would be nice to at least match that.

Damn if no album within a year...with those four talented songwriters
At that point just hire Jeff Tweedy or Steven Wilson to help out.
