I’m sure no one thought they go on for ever , put a fork in them they are done ! In other news there’s plenty of new bands out these days that are really great get to know them ...
But they are not...
Pearl
Jam
Seen them over 40 times I’ve seen them enough to know how good they are , they bored me last time I saw them even from the 3rd row ...

Bored you?
What show was it?
I'm guessing fenway since they were the only shows that had reserved seating.
Stop claiming that the band is done and quit blaming everything on Ed. None of us know jack shit. Quit whining and being so damn doom-and-gloomy.
This is not the time place or thread for making sense. Please take your reality somewhere else. Thanks
Although claiming they are "done" is taking it one step too far, this is a band that looks to be dormant 2 of the most recent 3 years, and in that 3rd year, they considered 26 dates to be busy and exhausting. It definitely is hard work what they do (when they do it), but 3 months a year is not even average time working for a typical rock band. And 3 of the other 6 most recent years (2014-2016) have not exactly been an overwhelming public presence.
As has been said often, this is their right and they have earned it. But we are discussing "reality" here regarding output.
They will be nearly 60 yo in a few years. How will their output be then?
The reality is they are closer to semi retired than an active unit.
Three years since the last Philly or nyc show (not counting rock and roll hall of fame). I could be wrong but this might be the longest dry stretch for these two cities in the history of the band.
As long EV can sell out 10.000 - 20.000 arenas with his ukelele for $130-170 pr ticket. I think we will see more EV tours than PJ in the future.
Rock Werchter 4 july - 2010, Arras 3 july - 2010, Berlin Wuhlheide - June 30, 2010, Odyssey arena Belfast - 23 june 2010, O2 arena Dublin - june 22 2010, O2 arena London - Aug 18, 2009, Manchester Evening News Arena - Aug 17, 2009, Berlin Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009, Copenhagen 2007-06-26 Forum, London 2007-06-18 Wembley Arena, Prague 2006-09-22 Sazka Arena, Denmark 2000-06-30 Roskilde Festival, Stockholm on August 12th Mirrorball tour with Neil Young, Oslo 1993-06-27 Isle of Calf Festival(Kalvoya), Oslo Secret Club Concert 1993-06-26 Sentrum Scene
That would be great but the Timeline seems too soon. A September 3rd show would mean an early June announcement at latest, which means it would have to be booked with logistics for a tour planned by.... well, now
and the Greek has said nothing is planned

Philly went a little over six years without a show during the whole ticketmaster boycott.
Philly --- April 10 1992 ~ Camden NJ (this is a Philly show) ---- August 28 1998
I’m hearing spac September 3rd from a good source that lives there!!!
I live right near SPAC and have not heard this rumor. It would be strange that they would play here after Labor Day? Labor day weekend is booked with Zac Brown, Skynyrd and Frampton. I would love for this to be true, but I doubt it is.
@dimitrispearljam But which part is logic? The part about it only being 2/1, meaning there is plenty of time for PJ to announce tour dates? Or the part about getting to see some of the other favorite bands?
its too early to say pj will not play at all this year
I think the soonest we get a hint of what Pearl Jam is doing would be in April when Austin City Limits and Voodofest are announced. Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Osheaga are also announced in April but with the EV Europe tour, I’d guess there won’t be any PJ shows until the fall.
Similair timeline to Lightning Bolt may happen - finish record in spring, tour Oct-Dec.
if april comes and we dont have any infos,we are fucked for 2019
Not looking good so far if we are assuming any tour would have a festival date or two. ACL and Voodoofest are the last two big American festivals I can think of that have yet to announce lineups (lineups for these usually drop in April).

Any chance for EV at Telluride Blues and Brews this year? Lineup announcement 3/28. 2 weekends before Ohana. And it looks like Glen Hansard is playing Denver a few days after. Could be possible. Or just a hope.
