Sexual Misconduct in Politics

EDIT: I've updated the thread title to better reflect where the discussion has gone.

Wasn't sure where this discussion really belonged and after posting in another thread I decided maybe it warranted its own. So...here it is. This is the latest statement from Al Franken. I've always liked him, since long before he became a politician. I'm disappointed by this allegation but so far I am also impressed by the way he has handled it.

I learned about this from facebook friends calling out liberals for their hypocrisy about six seconds after the news broke....not one of whom I recall saying a word about Roy Moore.

Anyhow, I guess I'm guilty of deflection now too.  I voted for Al.  I won't do it again.  (not that he'll be running again).  And since everything is about Red Vs. Blue, I think this is a terrific opportunity for the Blue team to take the high road.

I do look forward to Hannity ripping into him.

I can't imagine looking forward to Hannity doing anything.

Agreed on Red vs. Blue. This issue shouldn't be partisan but like everything else it is.

The system runs on NOT getting shit done, though.  Could drain the swamp and it would be filled back up again in a year.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what might make your neighbor blind side tackle you? I wonder what it could be, particularly if your attorney claims it wasn’t a yard dispute and neither side is talking. Hush, I'd like to buy a clue.

Franken made a bad choice, did a dumb thing, no doubt about it.  Of course. much worse has is and will be going on out there in the world of political and other public figures.  But this isn't a liberal/conservative or a partisan issue.  It's a cultural issue.

Bottom line for me is, I vote for the best person or the least offensive person, but either way, I RARELY have looked to politicians as role models.  Really rarely. Really really really rarely.

Considering his neighbor is a mentally unstable democrat it isn't a surprise.

Now back to Al Franken, all of you were screaming for Trump to not get elected due to locker rooom talk, this guy actually did something.  Are you going to demand his resignation or are all of you just full of shit?

We had the local news on last night and they reported Tweeden as saying something like "I accept his apology but, at the same time, he could have apologized long before this." Haven't seen that reported anywhere else though so it could be wrong.

    Credibility.  Find some.

If it were a Republican the mobs would be out here.  You know it.
This is NOTHING like Roy Moore.  Nothing like Trump's 25 accusers.

    Get over yourself.

How long before they come out against creepy joe biden too?

    Or creepy Rand Paul?
Hmmmmm, I wonder what might make your neighbor blind side tackle you? I wonder what it could be, particularly if your attorney claims it wasn’t a yard dispute and neither side is talking. Hush, I'd like to buy a clue.
Considering his neighbor is a mentally unstable democrat it isn't a surprise.

Now back to Al Franken, all of you were screaming for Trump to not get elected due to locker rooom talk, this guy actually did something.  Are you going to demand his resignation or are all of you just full of shit?
Yes he should resign along with Moore and yes the biggest sexual predator of them all the one & only Orange bafoon when you agree with this then I'll take you seriously otherwise your a joke too like all the sympathizers of Moore & Orange bafoon..
jesus greets me looks just like me ....
