My two cents:  The tickets are the most important part of the fan club membership followed by this message board.  I don't know that I've really liked any of the last few holiday singles so I am not going to get worked up over missing them.  I probably should switch to digital membership.

But if PJ never play anywhere near you the ticket lottery means zero. I would never pay to post on a forum. Exclusive vinyl is all Im in it for. Due to my subscription date I dont even get the t shirt in the year they print on it. I get it end of Jan or Feb the following year.

I'm not banking on the lost years ever amounting to anything. If some 45s show up at my door then great. If not... then oh well I guess. To me, they're novelty items and if I'm being honest... I haven't spun one yet. It's a lot of action for four  minutes of music.

That being said... I did change my membership level. I definitely want to be part of the 10C, but I don't feel like tossing money out the window if they struggle to hold up their end of the deal.

And I would if they actually delivered, as it is I only paid the 2017 subscription in Dec 2017. Some folks paid it in Jan 2017. If Im this fed up I can imagine they are very unhappy.

I am fortunate enough to be able to travel to see Pearl Jam and essentially make it my vacation.  So the lottery is still very helpful.  I don't even order the free shirts anymore.

This isn't about how great Pearl Jam is to us fans or what a great band they are or Christmas not being about material things.  It's about, "You offered me such-and-such for so much money, I paid you it, and you did not deliver."  If I send Joe_eBay_Seller money for a record and it doesn't show up, should I just say, "Oh well, I'll be a nice guy and let Joe keep my money anyway"?  Unless Joe has become destitute or the victim of a flood or fire or something similar, I don't think so.

They are, it's "annual single" now.  This is why I can't wrap my head around people refuting my proposal that it should be in production and ready to ship shortly after the year STARTS, not when it ENDS (and especially not 2-3 years later).

We're behind two, 2017 and 2018.  And the smart move would be for them to not be years behind.

Exactly. Even if joe is the coolest, nicest guy around. I’m not interested in paying for something and then not receiving what I paid for. And a little communication would go a long way. Even if it is a “pressing plants are backed up” or “sorry but we don’t have a timeline on the annual single but we will deliver what’s promised eventually.”  The silence on 10c side is a bit frustrating

Hahahaha the fact if the matter is if over half of your fan base doesn’t even remember how many fan club singles you are behind in providing them....that’s a big problem.  The expectations have been lowering for years. And now they’ve completely ignored it for at least 1 full year of membership benefits. 

Im betting that the verbiage of the single will disappear quietly from the description of the fan club membership. I recently paid for analog again, since it’s on auto renewal it just happens. But I do think this is likely my last year. I’ll continue digital for chance at tickets which is amazing and the main reason I’m here anyhow...oh and I guess since I have to pay to post on the messageboard as well...which is kinda bullshit, but whatever.
