i just look forward to what alternative nation will report based on this thread.
Good Ol' Brett will be giving out travel insight and places to visit on Alt Nation.
Yeah no kidding. I crack up every time I see a headline on Twitter about "Major Update On Pearl Jam's US Tour" etc. because it's typically something we've already discussed here.
Kevin Connaughton commented on Alternative Nation’s Facebook yesterday, “They will be at Citizens Bank Park in Philly in September 2018 per my source at Live Nation.”
When we pressed him, he elaborated, “I did hear two nights at Citizens Bank Park in early September will happen. Family friend works for Live Nation (and also a huge PJ fan) and confirmed this. Phillies out of town on road trip from 9/3-9/9.”

Really this band is now a stadium band what happened to these guys !
I understand the move... it was inevitable... and has become common place with larger acts in the USA... it definitely means my GF & I will be travelling less to see them and buying less tickets when they do decide to tour... i've been to Wrigley... i've been to Fenway... I forsee the only stadium shows we will buy tix for moving forward are local, so hopefully the Philly rumor is true! otherwise we are likely skipping out on PJ Live 2018
I'm sure more arena tours are in our future, but it may not be the norm, especially in large markets

I hear you just not my cup of tea I’d go to philly too .. 1-The city itself is a great time 2- Get to see another stadium I’ve never been in before .. That’s about it though I’m not traveling anywhere else for these kinds of shows . the band has lost all spontaneity to just do one of those small shows we use to get in the 90s remember the small shows they did right after the release of Avocado here in NY in 06 if I’m correct that’s what we need ...

Philly would be awesome. I’ll be at both, even if it’s a Monday/Wednesday

What are the predictions around here? Announcement tomorrow or the 10th? Or neither?
I would say sometime over the next two weeks. I can be more patient now that the words "Philly" have surfaced though.

Neither Live Nation nor Ticketmaster would handle those tickets. Aren't all tickets at the Sports Complex through ComcastTix?
That means nothing. Because Live Nation/TM are such a monopoly, they often handle aspects of a venue unrelated to ticket sales (merch, security, concessions, local setup... etc). I think in 2016, TM was actually advertising the Wrigley show on their website, even though the tickets were sold elsewhere. It could also be insider info, regardless of Live Nation having anything to do with it.
On your way from Philly to Chicago stop at one of the most beautiful baseball parks in the country PNC Park. The Pirates are out of town, the view is spectacular and at least the park will finally sell out!
Just had my gf sign up in case tomorrow is the day! For anyone interested in such things, new membership numbers being issued are 676XXX
Wow that is a huge jump from my wife's 2016 number. It is 540XXX. I joined in 2013 and my number is 512XXX. I wonder if they jumped numbers or if they really have 130,000 new entries in a year and a half.
With the rumours of Fenway being the Aug 31st weekend that would force the Philly shows (if true ) to farther in the week for set up time. If Boston is Friday/Sunday then Philly would have to be Thursday/Saturday I would guess since unless the field crew are ok with a game the day after a concert which would allow Friday/Sunday then.
